so I just played an hour or so of MP and got a freakin awesome tip. ALT TAB!!! no seriously, this will clear up any lag on the pc version. I have no idea why this works, but the second I did it I had almost no lag.

A tech on the 2K boards told me to try turning down my sound accel to fix that sound problem with voice loop / stutter / Lam in the ticket booth. Didn't help. Tried all hard ware accel settings.

Yeah I agree. the MP netcode is beyond awful. It's like 1990 awful. The gameplay is extremely fun, but fun if you aren't shooting someone and then suddenly you rubber band across the level.

i liked the mp i tried but for me its damn hard to spot enemy players..or players in general with all the colored lighting and details in the maps. I also die very easy since Im lvl one and lots are 20+

I'd pretty much decided I wasn't going to bother with th mp portion before the game came out so I'm not counting it as a big loss.

It was harder than I expected on medium, a few times I thought I should have played it on easy, but I finished on medium. Did not do MP and probably will not. It was fun, but no Bioshock which is one of my fav games. In the end is was a great 11 hours of gaming....

Still have the corrupted video sound from Lam..not continuing until I find a fix..tried settings of stereo and quad to no help.

What about turning on the subtitles until you get past that part?

Just as a side note, MP is worth checking out, even if you only do it once.  They made it almost it's own separate game.  Netcode does suck though

your loss. I love capture the sister. It's great fun. Got with a fairly good group last night. Having been playing 360 MP games far too long i miss PC MP gaming that's not a MMO. the community is so different, it's like night and day really.

Is there an easy way to see how many Little Sisters there are on a map like in the first game? In that one it was easy to see how many there were left. but as for as I can see, in Bioshock 2 the only way to tell is open the map and scroll around and scroll around until you see a LS icon somewhere on a map. Doesn't help that maps are multi lvl.

Go to the Pause menu (not the map menu), if there are little sisters left then you will see icons with both a big daddy and a little sister in it.  If you have already rescued the little sister then the icon will show only them.

Thank you both. Im on PC but I found it by hitting ESC. I didn't know it would show her with a BD if not found. Thank you.  Was probably in the manual but I skipped it thinking it would be like the first one.

For some reason i was thinking it was a Bioware game and that they had three games out at once...DA, ME2, and B2 lol. Same type packaging and it could pass for one of theirs.

The other thing to know is that 'unresolved' little sisters transferred over to the next level. So if level A has two and level B has two, but you only deal with one on level A then B will now have three once you get there.

didn't notice that, but then again I never had a situation where I couldn't find one to adopt.

Oh wow that's pretty cool.  Must have been why I saw 4 on a level, cause I'm not really spending time specifically looking for them my first time through.

some might not.  after awhile it started feeling like a chore to me, and I did end the game with quite a bit of ADAM left over, something like 400+ not used.  it felt like ADAM wasn't as rare in this one as it was in the first BS.

You can adopt the little sister and immediately take her to a vent to rescue though...do you not get the achievement when you do that?  Technically you are still taking care of her.

I keep her till she no longer leads me to a 'angel' in the level. When she leads me to a vent instead she sounds so tired and weak. That's when I release her and find another one.

I'd like to have a Bioshock where Im someone like Ryan or tenembaum. I'd be behimnd the scenes. I'd create or have created the Big Daddy and Little Sister. Have them go out on missions for me. There would be a rival like Atlas who would be after the same things I am. Control of the city , Adam, recruits. Sorta a sim / strategy game. 4X undersea? maybe a little X-Com? Strange vision ya.

the first few defending fights were a bitch cause you were so weak. after that they were ridiculously easy. i had one where i didnt even see any splicers from all the traps, decoys and bees. totally got my acheesemint from that. i guess they sorta went polar extremes. at first i didnt really wanna do them cause i went through so much ammo and FA kits. then I didnt wanna do them because they were boring.

On the 360, you can hold down the left bumper, which pauses the action and allows you to choose.

wow,$5 and no new maps,the only thing i would really even care about is the the third weapon upgrade ..everything else doesn't really change the way i would play

Yeah I wish they would just fix the netcode, although I guess it doesn't matter with BC2 coming.  However, I am happy to see new SP stuff coming.  I hope it's worth the price of admission.

Ya..most likely confuse me the whole game. ill leave it for now.

Got a new problem though. Loaded back up and now I cant loot anything or anyone. I can click the body and it will show what there is to loot but a 2nd press no longer loots the stuff. I thought maybe it was because I was maxed on the item but this is stuff like money and such. So now I have a new bug. Maybe i should just start over .

EDIT: resolved this loot issue thanks to the 2K forum. Just rebind the loot key to something else..use it omce..then you can change it back to what you want and its ok again. Dumb bug.

I had that same issue.  I turned off reverb and it was smooth sailing from there

just finished the sp this morning myself.   and like most here, it got ridiculously easy towards the end.   set up my traps, turrents, decoy and throw out my swarm and i just sit back and watch.

why don't we get a nice boss fight at the end?   just holding off the same wave of bad guys is poor design and a let down for the ending.

You know, there's a lot of things I like about Bioshock 2 more than the first one. I didn't like the gameplay or level design in the first game, all I liked was the mystique of Rapture itself. Bioshock 2 has much better gameplay and the story is about on par so far to me.
