I traded in Mass Effect 1 and 2 today at Gamestop and got Bioshock 2 for $5.24.
Shame on you. ME2 should be gilded and put on a pedestal. Canadian Best Buy is doing a trade offer: 2 games for Bioshock 2. Might just trade in my COD4 and 5 for it.

People who play games twice are people who don't have enough games to play. Back in the days when I was a kid or in college, I played games over and over because I couldn't afford new ones. I beat ME2 and traded it in toward Bioshock2. Says nothing about the quality of ME2, but instead says that there's yet another game I want to play.

That's a pretty generalized statement; it certainly doesn't apply to me. I have tons of new games, some still in their shrink wrap waiting to be played. Things like Borderlands, Brutal Legend, Demon's Souls and many more. I'm looking forward to playing these games but if I like a game and it has good replay value, I might replay it before I get to those other new titles.

I don't understand why you would buy those games and then let them sit on the shelf in shrink wrap. Why not just wait and get them when you are ready to play them, (and they are probably cheaper)? Unless you got them as gifts....

There were some crazy Black Friday sales like buy 2 get one free. I couldn't resist and those games are probably still more expensive than what I paid. I don't know if it's like this in the US, but the Best Buys in Canada will sometimes sell new games below cost just to draw customers in. It really pisses off the mom and pop shops.

People who play games twice are people who don't have enough games to play. so are you implying guys who have sex with the same woman more than once just don't have enough other women? (not disagreeing, necessarily - just curious)...

i am feeling the pinch now,its become very tough(playing on normal)..as i keep running out of Ammo,Plasmids,Health and Money the main reason is online is a lot more fun than i thought it would be you start of with a prologue, then you have your own apartment in Rapture where you can customize your player, then you go into the lobby, and choose which game you wanna play 10 maps of a decent size with upstairs and downstairs

I'm loving it so far (just finished my first big daddy fight). The combat is absolutely brutal and the various improvements have made the game even more fun then the original. Story is good so far, I'm anxious to see how things progress which is about all I was hoping for. I'm playing on Hard with Vitachambers off and it's really very difficult.

Also loving it so far. I just finished the first level and I'm having a hard time thinking of myself as a big daddy, instead of some guy who got here in a plane crash, so I've been moving very slowly and taking it all in, reading all the signs, etc. Visually it looks very good, although I thought the first one did too. I'm only playing on Normal. I remember having a solid experience on Normal with the first one, so I stuck with it.

Played a couple hours so far, and I'm happy to report that it seems just as polished and high quality as the first game.
I'm always a bit skeptical when a totally different developer does a sequel, but so far so good.

Definitely liking this one. Like the characters I've met so far and the parts of Rapture I am now seeing. Story is interesting so far and really liking tihs role of Big Daddy. Can't wait to play more.

I've played 2 levels now and like the posts above I think they have done Rapture justice. The environments are fantastic, the audio logs are great, and the world feels good to be back in. It's definitely like the first game, with some refinements to combat and hacking. If you wanted more Rapture, then this is definitely it.

What about the Big Sisters? From what I've seen, they look completely out of place in the setting, seeming like they were lifted out of some anime movie instead of a 50's underwater dystopia.

Forgot to mention how much I'm loving the sound as well. The water clanking on your Big Daddy helmet, the voices of the splicers, the music, it's all top-notch.

I'm forcing myself to finish Assassins Creed 2 before starting this. But you guys are making it hard to wait.
Especially since my wife was playing BS2 upstairs while I'm in the basement. I had to resort to the the headphones.

Being a huge fan of the first Bioshock, I was worried about this sequel living up to the high standards. Also, I was worried that this game would not feel fresh enough to really want to play through Rapture again. After the first hour, I can 100% say that it does feel refresh and it does keep to the high standards of the first... and possibly higher. I read a comment either on this board or on OO that the intro in this game wasn't as good as the original. I disagree! The intro to this game is awesome, shocking, sad, and nasty gruesome! Loved it and so far I love the game.

IMO they are not out of place at all. Just a new character in the wonderful world of Rapture.

Is the widescreen cropping thing that's back for B2 also happen on the consoles or just the PC? I assume it's both, but wanted to ask any way.
