BF2: Got Medals (or awards, commendations, ribbons)?

So, has anyone played enough to earn a rank higher than Private?  I just earned my first commendation:  Basic Engineer.   I'm curious what other people are earning out there.

i have about 50% of the badges, 5 or so medals and 4 ribbons.  I'm Lance Corporal which unlocked 1 weapon for me.

Only takes about 1000 points to get Lance Corporal, but apparently the next rank is MUCH further away.  I got 300 points last night and the progress bar barely even moved, looks like it's closer to 10000 for the 4th rank.  Seems odd that it would jump from 500 per rank for 2 ranks up to 10000 for one rank.

Sounds like I don't want to bother playing on ranked servers.

The fact that they locked weapons really irritates me as well.

I've received 3 badges and I have 450 points so far

- 4 Silver Stars
- 2 Gold stars

Basic badge : engineer, medic and combat
I have played 19 rounds and got about 400 points.

I have a silver star, basic helicopter, (something) crewman, basic anti-tank, basic medic.

1 gold star
1 silver star
4 bronze stars

Medic, Assault, Spec Ops, and one other basic combat medal
Medic revival thingy medal

Meritorious Unit Award (Ribbon)

I have only been playing a couple hours every other day with bar review though, god I wish I could play more. Being responsible blows.
