http://rewards.xbox.com/myachievements/Gold members with more than 25000 Achievement Points get 2 percent back (in Microsoft Points) on Xbox Live purchases made each month. Gold members with more than 10000 APs get a 1 percent rebate, while all Gold members with 3000+ APs get a "special gift" in the months of their birthdays interesting way to give back to 360 owners. they still aren't giving anything for great K/D ratios

Well, it's free money and gifts for doing nothing other than what you normally do, so I'm not going to bitch about it. hey, we're gamers, so give us free stuff and we'll bitch about it  this condition made me LOL though: Limit: Up to 30,000 Microsoft Points can be earned per account for the entire Offer Period. is there even that much stuff available on XBL to hit that limit in a year or so? wouldn't that mean you've spent 1,500,000 MS points? (my math is probably way off though) |

This is essentially a "Buy 100, get one free" deal, or "Buy 50, get one free" for the veterans. No wonder Microsoft didn't use that wording. Even disregarding how absurdly bad this deal is, also consider that those people who have tons of achievements probably already own pretty much all the games they want, and any further purchases will be a slow trickle.
This is a sleazy tactic by Microsoft. They can go around and brag about showering their fans with free MS points, when in reality they'll hardly have to give away squat.
