What might have been...I would have been all over this like no other MMORPG.

I actually was lucky enough to get to beta that game. It was a blast. I am excited the Mech Assault 2 is going to have an online mode very similiar to Btech 3025.

I rememeber that!  I wonder how it would have played off of my 33.6 modem? biggrin

Of course now we have Mech 4 Mercs which is slightly similar to the original Mechwarrior, which I loved to death.  It might have been something like Planetside when you think about it.  Every day you fight for planets and then the next day it's completely different due to ongoing battles all over the place.

I remeber playing Battletech 2025 on AOL. It was great till aol started charging by the hour to play. 95% of the users dropped out.

I played in the beta of 3025 for a long time as a member of House Kurita.  It had its problems but besides WoW it is really the only mmorpg I've tested/played that I would have bought at retail.

I know there is someone out there working on a mod or variation of it. I came across the website awhile back but I don't remember where it is now...
