BTw, I've been a trackball user for many years and have sworn by them up and down.  (currently using the Microsoft Optical Trackball)  The main benefit has always been the lack of the requirement of repositioning the whole mouse and the fact that it doesn't hurt my carpal tunnel at all.  However, I recently gave my Logitech Mx518 another shot in this game and have to say that I think I might be able to overcome the repositioning issue due to the incredible precision this mouse allows. 

Mouse arrived and I gave it a quick go last night, mouse is very smooth from the outside to the way it glides across the surface - smoothest mouse i've owned. Sensitivity amendment - works well, it is particularly awesome in tanks - crank sensitivity right up and low you have a tank that can swivel in short measure - then reduce sensitivity right down for the man to man fighting.

If I have a gripe it's that I can't see what sensitivity the mouse is currently on - is their a way or do you just have to rely on clicking up a number of times means its on the highest and vice versa for lowest. I've tuned ita  bit - what are your 5 settings for sensitivity?

I do the same thing with my mouse regarding sensitivity.  Makes tanks so much more deadly.

I'm currently using only 3 of the levels so it's easier to be on the one I want.  1800 for tanks, 800 for normal, 400 for sniping.  It's supposed to give feedback of some sort when changing if you set it to in the menu but I havent' seen that work yet.  With only three levels though it's pretty easy to make sure you're on the right one though. I'm probably going to need to tone down the 1800 for tanks because it might actually be too much.

For reference I have the sensitivity in game set to 2.2 for infantry and vehicles.

I'm using all 5 settings but only because it just allows me to feel i'm tweaking more on the fly.

Loving the game big time - just seems to suit me and now I have added controls to the tanks makes a huge difference.

I will be playing most nights around 10ish London time for 1-2 hours.

On a positive though I know these maps incredibly well - almost do them blindfold. Royals seem to be winning more which could be as we get to the higher levels but is good to see - wish we had online stats that showed the win/loose between the two

wonderpug and I tested some latency issues with xfire last night and found that the xfire voice chat is causing quite a bit of lag.  I tried a chatroom with voice quality at the lowest and it was still a bit laggy.

Played with xfire open for text chat and used vent for voice and it was smooth.

Other than that one, we've been using the one for The Wanderers. 

I have one that expired when I lost my job as well.  I'll look into options and see what can be done.

For a game on beta the figures playing are steadily increasing. Now 18th in xfire's charts - DemiGod is +100 as an equivalent...

I'm up for playing the odd game of BF2 - but not really up for putting the beta on I'm looking at an MP game to play at the moment. BFH is up there, also had some good sessions with World in Conflict last night. Might have to also give Company of Heroes Tales of Valor more effort.

Maps you need to downgrade to map I'm not so concerned about that part - the more I understand the maps the more enjoyable it is
