I will stick what consoles/PC it will be out for on the thread title when its officially announced, but at the moment there is this(but expect the usual suspects, and probably the Wii U) An apparent early leak on EA's PC Origin client has seemingly confirmed development of Battlefield 4. The ad promises BF4 beta access to anyone who preorders the deluxe edition of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, due out later this year. No date for the beta was given in the ad, which could suggest we won't see BF4 released until next year or even later.
EA has not confirmed the existence of Battlefield 4, but this would not be the first time a product announcement has leaked via Origin. Mass Effect 3, Crysis 3, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and Battlefield Premium all leaked on the client's store page before being officially announced.
There were numerous hints in BF3 that suggested the next title in the franchise would be a new take on 2006's sci-fi themed Battlefield 2142. Since no details are known about BF4, we can't say for sure what the setting and time period will be -- but here's hoping the franchise develops beyond modern day desert warfare. Another big question is if we'll even see BF4 on this generation of consoles, due to the arrival of the next generation of comments coming within the next few years.
The ad has been removed from Origin, but a screencap can be seen below. What would you like to see in Battlefield 4? Let us know in the comments!
TeamXboxoh, and for the record, these leaks are done on purpose IMO,otherwise EA haven't got a friggin' clue what's going with all these leaks

definitely with you in this camp Teggy. I'd love to see that squad again and for a return to the more humorous aspects of the first one.

I am the biggest BF2 fan ever, but BF3 leaves me cold, while I actually loved Bad Company 1 and 2 - such brilliant maps so yeah...color me unexcited, which is such a shame. COD drives the genre towards something I must admit I dislike intensely.

Looks like EA is going with BF and MoH trading places each each year to try and combat the CoD juggernaut.

I played with a group of friends on Bad Company 2 for the better part of a year. We were all super excited for BF3. Most quit playing it after a month, went back to BC2.

well the beta with MoH has been confirmed now 360a.orgEA has today confirmed that exclusive access to the Battlefield 4 beta will be available to anyone pre-ordering the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition, much like the Battlefield 3 beta was bundled with the Medal of Honor Limited Edition. News of the beta originally emerged over the weekend.
Now it's all completely official thanks to EA's announcement today. Scheduled to commence in fall 2013, the Battlefield 4 beta will give you a first taste of DICE's latest instalment in the FPS series. We were expecting Battlefield: Bad Company 3, but Battlefield 4 will have to do.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out on October 23rd in North America and October 26th in Europe. Get your pre-order in for the Limited Edition if you want to get the Battlefield 4 beta in autumn 2013. EA will be releasing the first Battlefield 4 details "at a later date". Fall 2013 for the beta...okay then Think i will miss out this time, wasn't a fan of the last MoH game and don't feel like buying the limited edition just for the beta that will most probably will appear on XBL/PSN anyway

call me crazy, but I'd like to see them return the series to it's roots with a full blown Battlefield 194x (1945 would be a good year). there's so many modern day and futuristic stuff nowaday's it's making me miss the good old WW2 shooter. bring back naval vehicles! [edit] and bombers!

[edit] and bombers!Hmm,that makes me think that I would like a new XBLA title, and for this time to support the game as well with some DLC maps BF'43 was brilliant on XBLA,and it surprised me that i played for about a year with just the same 3 maps(i didn't like the flying in the game so stayed away from that 4th Dogfight map) The weapons and soldier selection was simple as well,no need for all that complicated crap So that's a Battlefield 1940's game or a Battlefield Bad Company 3 game that we would rather have than Battlefield 4,LOL #><><><><><><><><><>< just saw this CVGThe deal on offer is that Warfighter customers will be given access to the Battlefield 4 beta. However, the community manager said "there will be other ways to get into the beta aside from Warfighter. At this time, however, it is the only way to guarantee entry."

http://kotaku.com/watch-17-minutes-of-battlefield-4-gameplay-right-here-460260191Frostbite 3 PS3, PS4,360 and PC are the platforms this has is currently coming to,no mention of the Wii U but it's reckoned that the Next Xbox and PS4 will probably get it as well If you pre-order this game you get the Battlefield 4 Premium Expansion Pack EDIT: DICE: Not actively looking at Wii U,wont talk about Next GenDICE isn't currently looking at bringing Battlefield 4 to Wii U and hasn't confirmed plans to launch the game on next-gen consoles.
Studio general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson told GamesRadar: "We are not actively looking at the Wii U right now." He said that the next entry in the military shooter series "will release on the platforms that we feel are suitable for the gaming experience that we have".
This presumably includes PS4 and the next Xbox, but DICE isn't willing to discuss next-gen plans yet. Asked if the game will be available on upcoming Sony and Microsoft consoles, Troedsson told the Guardian.
"We're in very interesting times right now. We're on the verge of something brand new. We've been part of these transitions before and we know that great things come out of them. But we're DICE - we've been around for 20 years and we're not that quick to jump on hype trains - we move at a steady pace, we tread carefully."
For more on the game, read our new Battlefield 4 preview and check out this 17 minute, single player focused Battlefield 4 gameplay video.
Battlefield 4 is currently scheduled for release this autumn on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

It looks technically really impressive, but I just wish for single player they would stop chasing the CoD linear shooter action blockbuster target and instead do something truly fitting of Battlefield: large open maps, multiple objectives and a choice of how to play.

Yeah, Bad Company 1's SP campaign was the best of them so far. Here's the objective, here's a big map... have fun!
Looking forward to BF4, I have spent a lot of time with BF3, and would spend more if other people still played it on 360. As it is I pop in from time to time to play.
Of course I actually enjoyed the new Medal of Honor as well (again would play a lot more mp if others played *stares at Kato*) which means I should be playing the 360 version of the BF4 beta, which I expect to be much less impressive than the pc and next gen version.

Next gen or bust, I'm not falling for this again!
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/398304/battlefield-4-confirmed-for-ps4-report/Electronic Arts has reportedly confirmed that Battlefield 4 is on its way to PlayStation 4.
While it would seem inevitable that the high-end shooter will arrive on Sony and Microsoft's next consoles, developer DICE and publisher EA have been reluctant to even discuss next-gen console versions. According to Polygon, however, at least one 'EA official' at GDC was prepared to confirm a PS4 version.
"The game is coming to the Windows PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360, according to Electronic Arts officials," reports Polygon.
"While the PS4 edition is not currently listed on the official pre-order site for the game, an Electronic Arts official confirmed that the game is coming to the platform," it adds.
DICE executive producer Patrick Bach dodged questioning regarding next-gen console versions of BF4 in an interview with CVG today.
BF4's creative director Lars Gustavsson has also refused to confirm a PS4 or next-Xbox version during talks with press at GDC this week. EDIT: Interview at EurogamerIncase anybody had any doubt What version of the game did we see with the gameplay video?
Patrick Bach: PC. Have you been able to improve the frame-rate for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, or are we looking at 30 frames per second again?
Patrick Bach: I won't go into detail on exactly what we're doing. Let me put it like this: the Frostbite 3 engine is not only about high-end. It's also about workflows. So it's easier for us to optimise and create better experiences on consoles, due to the fact we're pushing the bar and simplifying and creating easier ways for the developers to build the games in general.
30 or 60 frames per second on consoles is a discussion on fidelity, still. What is most important right now? Are you willing to cut down on features to get it to run? If you remove destruction and vehicles of course we could increase the frame-rate. But that's a core part of the game experience. We still have 24 players on the Xbox 360 and the PS3, which still is a high number compared to other games. There aren't that many shooters with a higher number, and those games don't have destruction and vehicles.
It's a balance. I would never sacrifice the core Battlefield experience to get higher frame-rate. But then again, higher frame-rate is something positive. So, we'll see what happens.

I just happened to click on the game page on Gamersgate, and saw this: Only in Battlefield do you have the power to dominate land, air and sea with all-new, intense water-based vehicle combat. cool, water combat, about time they brought that back. too bad it probably won't be as massive as it was in 1942.

Maybe the PS4 version will support higher player counts the pc version has. 24 just isn't quite enough when it comes to a Battlefield game.

360a.orgEA has confirmed that Battlefield 4 will be coming to Xbox 360 in November, with the China Rising expansion available with a pre-order of the game. It's also been revealed that Battlefield 4 will be heading to Xbox One, although a release date for Microsoft's next-gen platform has yet to be confirmed beyond the woolly 'holiday 2013' window.
Battlefield 4's China Rising expansion is apparently a 'sprawling" add-on in which you'll explore the "vast and majestic" Chinese mainland across four multiplayer maps. It bundles all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment into the bargain, and will be available with a pre-order at no additional cost.
Battlefield 4 is heading to Xbox 360 on November 1st, 2013. A date for the Xbox One version will be coming in due course. For now it's down for a holiday 2013 launch.

So my thoughts on this are pretty easy - if they are announcing this far in advance pre-order DLC, why not include it in the main product? I get incenting people to preorder, but an entire expansion pack?
