Getting further than I did earlier tonight, but still seeing "You have lost connection to the session" errors.

Also, default server browser filter had me looking for just EU servers, so be sure to check your own settings.

I was playing for about an hour but they are down again for me.

Took a few tries but I got in.  Don't know if it made a difference, but I finally got in when I chose a server that had at least 2-3 slots open.

Unfortunately I'll be absent for the rest of the year regarding modern military shooters.  I was trying to kid myself saying that I wouldn't be buying Battlefield because of the demo or getting MW due to the elite subscription.  But the truth is that I'm becoming a big fat pussy wimp in my old age  

As games get more realistic (especially shooters) I find it harder to play.  Which is probably why I enjoy fantasy RPGs or futuristic shooters more of late.  

We can still play some Section 8 against the bots (or people if there are any still on and playing).

For that matter pretty sure we still have BF1943.

Edit: If it helps, I'll start yelling 'KATO!' everytime someone steals my kills.

The limited edition is supposed to get the Back to Karkand map pack.  My receipt and the in box flyer seems to indicated this as well.  Btw, it hasn't been released yet.  I hope this works out for you MO

How come?  Are you shooting them down?

Heli controls are different from BC2.  I was having a hell of a time getting used to it. 

Jets are just used to strafe, is that right?

Also, seems odd, but if you unlock an attachment for one faction it does not seem to carry to the other?  Was it just late at night or is that right?  I unlocked an attachment for the US soldier support class and the other faction support class did not have access to it.

I've decided to stay away from Copters as I can't seem to control them.  You would think they would include some type of trainer cause learning to fly during a live match seems rather dumb

Haven't been able to try a jet yet..  Seems most people go for them first

attachments are per weapon, and weapons are per faction.  Eventually you unlock all weapons, but to start with US weapons for US, etc.

I was shooting them down, quickly, repeatedly, and avoiding all their missiles.

Jets pretty much take out other jets, then heli's, then if any time ground vehicles.  If more people would spot things, life would be so much easier.  In addition eventually people can use laser designators and at that point jets will be a right terror to vehicles.

Just had my third hard lock though, that's not good.  Poor Jake had a RROD last night.

Haven't found which class has laser spotting yet.  I don't get why people don't spot, I spot the hell out of everything.  Free spot points I guess!  I also had trouble running out of ammo a bunch last night in my PUG servers.  Had to finally go support and rack up the resupply points.

BTW, I love love love the PC style server browser!  It's fantastic!!

Start or back it's stupid to put it there.  It means moving your finger possibly off the left thumbstick

Plug for the Razer Onza:

The Onza has two programmable shoulder buttons that sit just above the LB and RB buttons.  I can spot with my left index finger and not take either thumb off the analog sticks.

Played maybe 2 hours with Hiro and Nomorals last night.

Holy fuckballs is this great.  It's exactly what I love about Battlefield and what reminds me why I can't get into the MW series as much.

I can't wait to play more.

I think that was actually an intentional thing this time.  God forbid I back up Dice on something   I think they want spotting to be a difficult but important thing to do.  It's worth taking the split second to call stuff out even if it keeps you from moving/shooting normally.

I'll second this, even though I only got to play for 5 minutes last night.  It's night and day how much better this feels compared to beta.  Somehow even movement and aiming felt awkward to me in the beta, but I had no issues with it last night.

At first impression they seem to have finally rid the game of the floaty tank-like on-foot movement.  The audio is phenomenal, as always.  Didn't get to try any vehicles before the servers went down again, but I'm all kinds of excited to get in the jets & choppers.

Just fire up the game without doing any installs.  It will ask you right up front if you want the HD textures.  Say yes.

Doesn't feel that way to me.  I've been shot a bit and been able to run or drop prone to escape.  Also seems like I gotta shoot a bit to kill some dudes.  Might be my aim

MW C130 mission was awesome, but BF3 F-18 mission was hands down my best gaming experience so far. The launch off of the carries WOW awesome.
Maybe EA should make the next AceCombat.
