Kotaku have a with and without HD Texture pack video,it would probably be better to have a side by side video, then maybe you can spot the differences easier(don't forget to change the settings to 720p) this picture isn't in the video, but you can easily see the differences here as i know some people don't like clicking on Kotaku, its also a Youtube video

and here we go Reviews(i think all of these are PC reviews) CVG-9.2Battlefield 3 then, from a campaign perspective, delivers the goods and then some. It's not perfect, but it's bloody close... infinitely more impressive than Bad Company 2 and irrefutable proof that DICE have now firmly stepped into the hallowed ranks of the absolute top-tier developers. COD or not, this deserves a place in your collection - not to mention a place in your heart. GameTrailers-9.2Battlefield 3 is a lot like prior games in the series. It features a stellar multiplayer suite with practically limitless replay value and a mostly forgettable campaign. The coop missions are a nice addition, and to be fair, the single-player is the best in series history, but it still falls short of its contemporaries. Online warfare is intricate and rewarding, but it also presents a learning curve and a strong reliance on team coordination. Enough can't be said about the presentation of the PC version as it carries its own levels of reward. Battlefield 3 rewards those who truly enlist. GameInformer-9.5Battlefield fans hoping for the most polished entry in the series won’t be disappointed by this massive sequel. Multiplayer maintains the high level of quality DICE is known for, and the campaign is the best in franchise history. Outside of the annoying Battlelog and a tacked-on, uninspired co-op mode consisting of six short standalone missions, the only downside to Battlefield 3 is the lack of substantial changes to the multiplayer formula. However, that shouldn’t stop longtime fans and newcomers from enjoying one of the best FPS experiences in gaming. 1up-A-(A Minus)Battlefield 3 is a game that's informed, not bound, by both its predecessors and its competition. It takes what made the series great in earlier games and marries it to the innovations from more recent BF titles. The single-player and co-op campaigns both have their issues, but the multiplayer component is worth the price of entry alone. IGN-9.0When you shut down Battlefield 3 and let the Frostbite 2-powered dust settle, it certainly has some problems. But DICE’s adoration of and expertise with the online experience permeates every aspect of its multiplayer. Regardless of the narrative missteps or the occasional glitches, Battlefield 3 offers an unforgettable, world-class multiplayer suite that's sure to excite shooter fans, whether they fired their first bullet in Battlefield 1942 or have just now heeded Battlefield's call of duty. Joystiq-4/5It's not revolutionary, but it's the best Battlefield game, and that's saying a lot. more when i find them

Those are amusingly all over the place, not in terms of the scores, of course, but the first one says the campaign is great, the next one says its forgettable, but coop is a nice addition, the third one says coop is uninspired and tacked-on.

It makes me a little nervous that they haven't provides reviewers with any console copies of the game - PC only. I hope the frame rate holds up not the 360 and PS3.

Agreed. Uncharted has reviews out 2 weeks ahead of time. Day before launch and nothing. Never a good sign.

No console reviews because there is a 200 MB day 1 patch. EA requested reviewers hold off till the patch lands.

How big's the install? 2 disks, one for multiplayer/coop one for single player. Not sure on sizes yet, they are still going.

I don't have an exact number yet, but the install is pretty big. I installed both disks, then started and it had a 170mb download. Then started and it said to install the HD content for better graphics (1.6gb) so it's doing that now. Looks like I went from 36gb free down to 16gb or so.

I have no idea on the PS3, I would doubt it's 2 disks though.
Played about 6 hours or so, had a blast. It's very fun. I still am not a big fan of squad spawning, but it's part of BF.

You on the PS3 now with the game, Harkonis?
But awesome that its good- I may have to cave and get it. I doubt I can run it well enough on my PC, but the PS3 should of course be able to handle it fine.

disk 1 7.3gb disk 2 6.7gb HD content 1.6gb update 167mb misc codes, online passes, day one dlc and save game 3mb
total used is just under 16gb, but available space on the disk went down by close to 20gb. I still think the 360 does weird math on space, always has.

If it uses an older file system, it may be based on number of files, more than actual size to calculate size used. Lots of small files would take up more space, than fewer but bigger ones.

Given the spacebucks system this is of no surprise. Microsoft in general seems to do weird math.

I am so very much back on board the hype train for this game. The reports I'm reading of how much better even the console version looks and feels compared to the beta are just the kind of release-week reassurance I was looking for.
The videos of the A-10 Warthog in particular have got me drooling. BZRRRRRRRRBBBBBBBT!!!
