While it hasn't been officially announced by Warner Bros., details regarding Batman: Arkham City's collector's edition have popped up thanks to a couple of retailer listings

Joystiq reports that the details were listed on Gamestop's site, but they appear to have been taken down as of this writing. However, Best Buy still lists the product features, which are as follows:

    * Premium statue produced by Kotobukiya
    * Art book
    * Exclusive access to DLC before anyone else
    * Gotham Knight animated content

It rings up at $99.99, and no further details (or pictures) of the statue are given. With this info releasing early, we'd expect an official reveal from Warner Bros. soon.

More Skins

A British fan site has put together all of the skins available for customers in the UK (some of them are available outside Europe, others not), and it's a little bananas. There are five available, most of them from unique, competing retailers, and while many of them look great - the Dark Knight Returns one especially - you should probably refrain from getting any of them.

Why? Because the more people give in to this, the more publishers will know they can get away with it. You want them to can this crap, then stop buying it. Simple!

For the record, the skins are, from left to right, Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight Returns, Earth Zero, 1970's, The Animated Series and the default skin.

as its that stupid where you pre-order from to get the skins,i hope that they become available as DLC for everyone some day,as they all look great

Yeah, I might actually be a sucker here and pre-order the Collector's Edition from Toys R Us for Dark Knight and the 70s.  The only other one I'd want is the Animated Series. 

Although, how much am I really going to use them?

Man I love the animated series one, but I don't know if it would look too weird without all the bad guys having animated series-ish skins as well.  It's too bad they didn't do an Adam West Batman skin; I don't see there being any way to resist using that one.

I love the 70's skin, but what's with the one next to Robin (2nd from the left)?  It looks more like the Fatman rather than the Batman.   

While the animated series skin looks pretty neat, I have to agree with others in that it might look a little too jarring if it's the only animated series style character on screen. 

I've been trying to avoid information about Arkham City as I just won't have the time (or the money) to pick it up, but I really, really want to.  If I tutor o-chem and general chem this semester perhaps I can use some of my earnings to pick up a copy.  The hard part will be finding time to play.  Might just have to wait until Christmas when I'm finished with my last melt-your-face-off semester.

some people are saying that the Batman Skins are only for use in the Challenge rooms,which would be a shame if true,i remembered that The Joker skin was only available for the Challenge rooms in Arkham Asylum(on PS3) so it's most probably true unfortunately

I just saw this weeks The Blurb(UK Video Game TV show,and it had a preview of Batman which still looks ace

the presenter said that the game is 5 times bigger than Arkham Asylum(which we knew)...but the whole city will be available from the start and there will be no loading screens
