Thanks for sliders lockdown. I tried them tonight and won 5-1. I've been playing on Pro and to be honest, I felt hitting on pro was harder than your sliders I'm not complaining though. I'll try a few more games and then maybe make some adjustments. Forget what I said. Turns out I wasn't playing on allstar. I did the sliders for all star, but forgot to change the difficulty I'll try them tonight

I'll then post them for everyone to enjoy!!!

Well I picked this up(MVP)> I only got a chance to play two games so far. One offline and one online. Both were great. The online was suprisingly smooth and a ton of fun. I`m really liking this so far. This game looks great in 720p. Not bad at all for $29.99.

I'll then post them for everyone to enjoy!!! Another funny post. That's two in a row for you, which I believe is a record. Well done turdball. Now, regarding sliders... I will send you my MVP05 Pro Sliders (not all-star). As you and I are equally atrocious at baseball games, I don't think All-Star will do anything but frustrate you. The sliders are great, but just too hard. Making them any easier would kill the accuracy of the stats, imo. I am 4-11 with the 'stros in my dynasty using All-Star, and although the stats look really good, I am simply not a good enough player to continue at that level. Long story short.... Pro sliders on the way. On another note.... this may be the very best "arcade-style" baseball game I have ever played. This game is extremely good and lots of fun. LD

If these sliders are from that guy on Operations Sports, I'd just give a shout out (not necessarily a link) to the username and Operation Sports for the info. I know many people aren't registered at Op Sports and that's the only way you can see threads there as it is.

Hmm got to try these settings when I get a chance. I tried the other guys settings and I struck out 17 times last game!!! Ouch!! These settings seem to be a bit more friendly. I'd customize my own but I just don't have the time to sit and tweak it like I used too.

Hey Lockdown!
I need a break from all my heavy, serious talk in the Off-Topic forum. Can you send me both your slider sets as well? After all, you still owe me a beer from that hockey tournament you cheated in! Send me the slider settings and we will call it even. Actually, it was your comments in this thread that convinced me to get MVP instead of 2K5. Like you I hate everyting EA.
Thanks Man!
P.S. I'm available also to play MVP online whenever you are free. Drop me a line! Your welcome, and I hope you enjoy the game. I think it's excellent, still. I will shoot you a line so we can play sometime soon. Just no StarWars talk, ok? LD

Just no StarWars talk, ok? LD NO CAN DO!We are now just about 2 months to go till Episode III!!!! I am in full geek mode, primed and ready to soak up the atmosphere of the final Star Wars movie ever. I cannot and will not contain my excitement! Can I preorder tickets for opening night yet??? Now, excuse me while I brush up on my Jedi code... The only thing that would eclipse my excitement for Star Wars would be the announcement that Emergency! was finally coming on DVD.

I picked up the GCN version of MVP, having sold my Xbox a while back. To my surprise, the game needs 200+ blocks just for the 'owner' mode, about 190 for season, 100+ for rosters..and some smaller totals for stuff like profiles.
The memory card 251 that served me so well all these years has proven insufficient to the might of MVP. I'm going to have to look for the 1000+ card tomorrow. Score one point for the Xbox version.
I played an exhibition game (Mets vs Cards), and had a blast. I had some problems with baserunning (need to check the manual again I think), and the occasional bad throw to the wrong base (my fault, not the game), but I managed about 10 baserunners (only 1 run), including a double. I held the cards to 1 run through 8, but my pen was abysmal, and my setup man took a liner off his forearm, fracturing it. The guy I brought in to replace him (who didn't get to warm up) gave up 7 before finishing up the inning.
One small nit I have with seemingly all sports games: How hard would it be to display the player portraits with their correct team uniforms / caps. I can't stand seeing Pedro Martinez in a Red Sox cap. Yes, I understand there's a lot of player movement each off-season, but it definately bothers me and ruins some of the immersion factor.
- Don

Yet, I still have no sliders from Poncho... Crap... forgot. Sending now. (All-Star sliders that is) ------ Stardrifter : This is Devil's thread, so if we derail it, I will feel absolutely no remorse whatsoever. Regarding StarWars.... I am excited too. you think they will recast Hayden out of the film alltogether with someone that can actually act in the next 3 months before release? That would sure make me happy! LD

I found some good realism sliders over on Operation Sports for Major League Baseball 2K5...I'll be trying them out as the Astros. It's supposedly harder than Legend in some ways, but not in others.

Have you guys had any problems in MLB 2K5 with hitting for any type of power at all? Of all the hits I've made in (admittedly) my first game, only one has gone out of the outfield, and only two others have made it as far as the dirt. Consequently, I've only gotten one hit. My defense isn't bad, as I'm down only 2-0. But still...

A new patch was released for MVP 2005 today that apparently fixes all the stuttering problems people were having on the PC version. Here's a link... http://ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/easports/patches/mvp2005/
