I got my 360 back in time for the weekend....which is amazing turn around time, I recieved the box to return it on Tuesday, and got my new unit on Friday.. I cant complain about that.

This unit seems to be ok so far, for all my frustration I have to say they are handling this right, no questions asked quick turn around time.

Good to know!

Still wondering what to do about my "Error 67" when I turn my 360 on. Always comes back fine on the second try but I'm scared.

Devil, I would seriously replace it.  I had something similar (different error or just a blank screen) where a reboot would fix it and I got my return unit back and I haven't had the problem since.  They really have a quick turnaround on the units and I wasn't without it for very long.

Thanks, guys - I'm going to return it but there are 2 things holding me back right now.

#1 - Is it something where I'm going to lose my HD? That would suck.

#2 - I have the EB protection thing and I'm not sure they have any to swap it out for.

I'm kinda stuck at this point but the EB protection plan is good for a year so I figured I'd wait until they had more and swap it out then.

I can still use it so I'm not that concerned. If it died outright, then I'd be more proactive.

Have you tried calling microsoft to see what that error 67 might be? EB/Gamestop seem like the last place to for an xbox 360, they coudn't even fulfill their own preorders months after the release, when stores like target got them in weekly.
<END EB/Gamestop rant>

Personally I'd wait until EB gets their act together and get a replacement from them because even two days without my 360 would be hell, UNLESS serious system damage was inveitable. From the sounds of it, it sounds like everything is running fine except for that one error.
I was in a similiar situation of my 360 making a crashing sound every time I closed the dvd drive - but the discs/dvds weren't being scratched, so I held on to it for about a week until Target got their next shipment in and brought it back in and exchanged it for another core system.
It's funny how target is getting them in every week and EB.. anyway I'll save my breath for another thread about "EB" Eerie bastards!

EB Games has new stock in their warehouse. They hold onto at least 10-15% for replacement plan people. I got this info from an EB Games store manager (a buddy of mine... the one who got Autistic Angel his 360).

I didn't know this piece of information.  I think I heard that if you swap yours out with MS and get a new unit with different serial, then your protection plan is no more.  So, if you aren't experiencing serious issues, I would hold off until EB starts to get more and then spring it on them one day before your year is up.

I agree. They really don't need it, and odds are against you getting it back in the same condition (with files) than you sent it out.

I know that on the forms we use at Gamestp the Serial No IS recorded and is tied to the plan. Not sure about EB but it is a good question.
