from the ashes of a canceled game comes Awakened. here's a video look at it, you play characters with diferent abilities. The only catch is they're a new studio, and they don't even have a publisher yet. hopefully they can get this out, because it looks really freaking cool. |

It's open world, which can be an issue for any studio to make such a large game.
It also looks clunky in terms of animations, AI, and more.
I'd rather they do a good, linear branching story since so many have tried the open world superhero story and failed.

I have no idea if they can do the concept justice, but I'm willing to give them a try. It seems they're just past the 50% mark in the Kickstarter with 3 days left, though.

The single player is basically what they're going for with the primary goal if you read the text. Multiplayer is a stretch goal and then an "extended single player" is a further stretch goal. |

Not surprised, what they had didn't look that good, and what they were trying to make seemed way out of their league.
I wonder if this would have gone over better if they had started with a stronger, more well defined art style, and a much more scaled back game.
And also a much lower goal.
