here's an interview about Spiderweb Software's next game.  the main site has it listed as an early 2011 release.

Very nice. And it'll run at 1024x600 resolution, which my netbook will thank him for.

so, this is out on Steam, and it looks to be half the price of the main website.  what was the general consensus on this one?

If you like their other games, you'll like this one too. Same retro gamplay with an improved graphics engine and some new gameplay systems and a cool storyline. Was well worth it at $20.

I've never played any of Spiderweb's games (maybe they'll start popping up on Steam too!), but I do like Eschalon, which is retro too.  thanks, into the backlog it goes!

Picked this up last night since Steam was selling at a 10% discount.  My early impression are fairly favorable, but lack of choice when customizing characters is a bit of turn off.  Only four classes and you early stats,  skills and gender are pre-determined.

It looks like it's old-school RPG announcement day.  In addition to the Legend of Grimrock 2 announcement, Avadon 2 : The Corruption has been annouced.
