Well the developers have been secretive about the plot twist in Assassin's Creed. Could this seeming historically accurate game on assassination be something much larger?

Potential spoiler warning: http://www.gamingtrend.com/News/news.php?NewsID=7810

Basically,
Spoiler for Hiden:
It's actually really interesting to me. It's sort of based on the research that's sort of happening now, about the fact that your genes might be able to hold memory. And you could argue semantics and say it's instinct, but how does a baby bird know to eat a worm, as opposed to a cockroach, if its parents don't show it? And it's about this science company trying to, Matrix-style, go into peoples brains and find out an ancestor who used to be an assassin, and sort of locate who that person is. It's very, very cool, and I've seen all the graphics for it. We just recorded all the dialogue and did all the face scans and body scans, and I'm really excited about it.

I remember the video where
Spoiler for Hiden:
That hot chick Jade and some dude were showing off the demo, and after the dude playing the game died, the screen went white and it said somethign about memories. You also hear a chick saying "welcome back"..Jade said that she wasnt allowed to talk about that screen ha
so I can see that being true.  Dingy broad spillin the beans

It sounds more like the frame story than a spoiler to me,  just like the clever use of the Prince narrating the story in Sands of Time.  If so, you'd probably learn this at the beginning of the game.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I would hope so but it still stikes me as completely unneccessary. Why not just have the whole thing focus on the era of the Crusades, or whenever it is? Why not leave well enough alone? WHY UBISOFT WHY?!?!?!

One word:  sequels!  This way they can go to where/whenever they want and it can be part of the "story" or something.  Still seems retarded to me.

Doubtful considering the source of the leak.  If they were planning on releasing the info prior to release they were likely going to do it as an exclusive with a media outlet.

Oh, come on.  Do you really think that Ubisoft is not approaching this as their next yearly-installment franchise?  This is how they do anything that is even nearly successful.
