A new Questionnaire has questions asking how you would feel if Desmond,Connor and the Revolution setting was to return, and another question asking, would you buy the game if it was released next year CVGOther questions include how would you feel about the introduction of Co-Op so,they don't know the setting, the story or whether to have Co-Op,yet they want to release it next year? They still have the DLC for AC3 to release as well(which, because of the season pass you would think it would be more than previous DLC for AC games)

so,they don't know the setting, the story or whether to have Co-Op,yet they want to release it next year? Of course they know all these things, they are merely building up hype. We'll get two more games featuring Connor (each one promising to finish his story) before we get an Assassin's Creed 4. Neither game will feature anything particularly new. Ubisoft is milking this franchise as if it's Call of Duty, and it's already starting to hurt the series' reputation.

I'm done with this series. I gave AC3 a chance due to the setting change, but in the end it just reinforced my disenchantment with this series once and for all. I found Connor unlikeable and I'm not interested in where his story is going. No more AssCreed games for me anymore.
And Watchdogs does look awesome. That one I'm excited about.

There was actually a rumour after it was presented that Watchdogs was an Assassins Creed game set in present day,Ubisoft said it was untrue, but it was an interesting rumour none the less Then again,if it was present day no Animus would be needed and those white lines would not be present I said in the AC3 thread that for me to carry on with the series they would have to do something very special for a sequel, them staying with the same setting and characters certainly doesn't do it for me FWIW i would be happy enough the AC games finished now,the story is done(no matter how bad the end)

Ubisoft is going to milk the Connor story for all it's worth before they release a new full game in the series, so that they can maximize the income from the assets they made for AC3.

It may not be Brazil, it could be South America, or even Southern Mexico.
But, I think jungles would be a nice place to use all that tree climbing tech.

Yep, no brainer. The ship sections of AC3 were surprisingly good, many have remarked it was good enough to be its own game.

The other side of that poster That assassin is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway and grandfather of Connor from Assassin's Creed 3, according to The Examiner. He's a privateer, assassin and occasional pirate. Eurogamer

I'd like to see them put in a skill system like Far Cry 3 had, with you gaining XP from missions and kills. put in bonuses for stealthy missions or completing the optional objectives.

Guess that means I'll have to wait until spring 2014 when the PS4 is released in Europe (I hate being third priority!). This is the kind of game I'd like to play on a brand new console. Since it'll be for both current gen and next gen consoles, it probably won't offer much more in the way of improvements than higher resolution and better textures though.

trailer. [edit] apparently Ubi has been busy squashing the leaks, so in case they do here's some screen captures. Until they say otherwise I'm guessing all of the trailer is CGI: Blackbeard! dual pistols! (I know AC3 had you carrying around 2 pistols but I never seemed to be able to get both to fire at once) dual cutlasses! underwater! booty! a port! more booty! (potentially NSFW!) more Blackbeard! brooding!

In some cases,i couldn't even get one pistol to shoot(thinking of that dynamite outside the gate near the beginning of the game)

They'd better shave down the ambition quite a bit if this is going to be any good. AC3 had them doing everything in a mediocre way instead of doing a few things very well. Even the core concepts of the Assassin's Creed series stopped being fun in that game.
There are two things that peak my interest with this sequel: Its focus on ships, which was the best part of AC3, and the fact that it'll be out on next-gen consoles, where it'll probably feel very much at home.

7 different studios are working on this. Creation of the singleplayer missions in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is being split between lead developer Ubisoft Montreal and supported by studios in Kiev, Quebec and Singapore. Ubisoft’s Sofia outfit is creating the modern day elements of the game, and two more studios in Annecy and Bucharest are handling multiplayer.

So, yet another game in the series that will feel schizophrenic and detached because the individual elements were made by different studios. I guess they don't learn, do they.

Can I just say I have a bad feeling about this?
People were griping that setting the last game in America took away some of the AssCreediness of it, 'cause the buildings weren't as tall, and now we're going to be in the Caribbean. Have you seen buildings there? Sure the ships are taller than even the American buildings, but how many times can you climb a mast?
That's not really my issue, though. It just feels like they're getting further away from the essence of this series.

Looks great to me! But I'm a fanboy of the series. Haven't played AC3 yet because it hasn't reached my price point, but I really liked all the others. And I really like the pirate setting.

I think that trailer looks great, but it really makes me wish they hadn't tried to jam Pirates and AC together and had instead just made a badass pirate game.

My thoughts exactly,it does look great, but pretty much fed up with the whole Assassins Creed storyline ...however,here's hoping there is no present day storyline running parallel in this one, that is one thing i could do without and i think they should drop all that now EDIT; A look at the 4 various editions, taken from Eurogamer(when is this game released again??? ) Skull Edition Buccaneer Edition Black Chest Edition Special Edition

I am sorta looking forward to the game, The setting looks great, game looks fun, but at this point the whole AC story line thing is really holding me back from being a day 1 buyer. If this was just a new pirate game in which you play a pirate, I'd be all in, but this whole AC storyline is so played sooo plaayed.
