Figured I'd share.  The graphics in this game look amazing (and even more so up close) so I hope the co-op gameplay holds up.  Either way, this video is pretty funny.  Enjoy!

I was pretty skeptical of this game when I first heard about it.  I'm much more interested having seen the videos.  The coop sounds like waaay too much fun.

I've been watching the Army of Two videos pretty much like I've been watching Mass Effect (Did I mention that I think XBL Marketplace is pure genius for a marketing tool?) and aside from the fact that EA is doing this game, I've got some high hopes.  A friend and I just had a blast playing Gears of War co-op last weekend.  We beat the main campaign on Casual in a day and a half.  Our only frustration there are the 'choose a path' sections where we got split up forcefully.  Army of Two looks to bring Gears style co-op, with Baird and (the admittedly funny) Cole to back you up.

What I fear is that all the cool sequences that we've seen in the two trailers are scripted/triggered/limited events.  GRAW2 seems pretty flexible in which path you can take to complete your objective (you can snipe if you want in many cases, or full assault, etc) and GoW is a little more limited but still give you the flexibility to use your weapons as you see fit.  I like the sequence where the two guys fight back to back...and hope that events like that are handled much like Gears' cover system (move near your ally out of cover, it appears as an option.)  I hope their level design takes the approach of 'Here is the objective, here is the terrain.  You go out there and win this.' rather than 'Here is the level...play through to the end...but you have to walk along this path'.

As games go...the movie does a very good job of giving us a feel for the basic engine.  When the Army of Two had their guns out, I was pretty sure I was looking at in-engine footage (E3 attendees can confirm or deny this) and I'm not terribly surprised.  EA knows how to make a date look pretty...

Yeah games with co-op campaigns automatically get extra attention from me.  Also, as a note to people making the checklists on the back of certain games:  Co-op is not team vs multiplayer.

I'm looking for brains with you, ATB.  I am looking forward to this game quite a bit, but the humor seemed a little too committee-made to me.  Aren't we done saying, "You want a piece of this" yet?

I personally enjoyed the trailer..especially the MacGuyver reference.

You know, watching coop gameplay like this makes me wish we could get an A-Team game on next gen consoles.... I love it when a plan comes together.

Ouch.. just for that I will be using a 200 pound channel carp from the Monongahela River that is mutated from all the chemical waste dumped in the river over the last 100 years.
