I've been mildly interested in the game since it was announced and I was wondering if anyone gave the demo on the KotOR 2 disk a shot and had some impressions. Thumbs up? Down? Blah?

I thought it was great.
Reminded me of a Star Wars Themed Halo with the addition of squad members that you can give commands to
The demo is not very big, but I enjoyed what I did play

At first, I didn't enjoy it too much...but as I continued, it promoted you using your team members and it got pretty cool. The Metroid-Primey hub was a tad annoying, but it wasn't too bad at all.

I enjoyed it for sure. I didn't realize at first that you were supposed to order your men behind barracades before or during a firefight. Took a little bit of a beating first time for that, but got everyone correctly positioned for the tank fight.
I'm a little concerned about variety of missions, but if the Clancy brand can keep pulling it off, I don't see why Lucasarts can't.

Didn't care for it at all. Like Area 51 demo tons more.

Interesting. I felt exactly the opposite.

Lots of fun. Rips Halo straight off and adds some squad control.
I too enjoyed this demo far more than Area 51.

Ofcourse, I am not much of a Star Wars fan. So, maybe that is the difference.

I liked both the Area 51 demo and Republic Commando.
However, the AI needs work, especially opponent AI. The game suffers from that syndrome where since the opponents lack decent enough AI to stay alive, they artificially inflate the lifespan of certain opponents. In this case, remember that flying insect just before the tank? It took way too many hits to kill it.
