It's been getting some pretty bad reviews to my suprise, as it's another game that I've been looking forward to for months and months now. (The 32 player bot match in singleplayer sounds awesome. How many Xbox games support 32 bots? Even perfect dark zero on the 360's powerful hardware only gave us 16 bots! WTF!)

Both IGN and Gamespy talk about how bad the bot AI is and I'm wondering if it's even worth picking up. If I'm going to play it though I need to get an original Xbox or hope MS adds it to their BC list. If I can find a 2005 model Xbox I'd definitely buy it, but the few used Xbox's I've seen around here at gamestops (most of them have none in stock) are all early models - 2001 and 2002. The hell if I'm gonna pay $100 for a 2001 launch xbox that'll probably die on me when I least expect it.

Has anyone played Warpath though? Any comments on the bots?

I tried the demo.  It was bad.  The bots can aim well depending on the setting, but their navigation puts them on the same routes over and over and over.

Plus, it's such a simple game, it's really not worth it.  The Unreal Tournament games have more depth, better pacing, and are just as cheap as this game.

It's only redeeming factor looks to be the conquest mode, but from the reviews it looks like that's simplified too.

All in all, it's a quick money grab using a lot of leftover art from Pariah.
