Its out, I picked up the main game a few weeks ago on the cheap, but haven't devoted as much time to it as I want to.  But one of the reasons I got it on the cheap was so I can pick up the expansion.

However I will probably wait for the first price drop.  Curious to see if anyone picked it up and is giving it a go?

Hell I can't even find it in this state. Asking EB heads about it is like asking a dog if it prefers the taste of shit over bacon. Either way, the eyes just blankly stare at you.

LMFAO.   Yeah, the EBGames "PC Gamer Stare" is quite special, isn't it?

Best Buy has em in stock FYI, same for CompUSA.

Since I sort of just stopped playing V after awhile I doubt I'll ever pick up the expansion. Its not that it was a bad game just that it was so similar to III(which I have played so much of in the past) I was sort of already burnt out on that type of gameplay. Maybe in the future I'll go back and give it a try again.

I never played 3..  To be honest, I have only a few hours into 5 and most of that is Multiplayer.  It hasn't fully grabbed me yet, which is why I waited until I got it for dirt cheap to test the waters.  That and I wanted it patched up good and fine first.  paranoid

I do have plans to put more time into it, and eventually get the expansion though.

I'll probably pick up whatever Platinum-Ultimate-Diamond-Super Edition they come out with in a year, but I'm actually selling my copy of the original now because it's just gathering dust.

I was really disappointed in Heroes 5 because the AI gets huge gold bonuses.  As far as I know, the cheat is hard coded and can't be changed.  The Heroes 3 AI never cheated to that extent.  Totally ruined the game for me.

I read about this, basically they got lazy and coded in rip-off AI.  This is one of the reasons I have been hesitant to play it.. That and the game lacks that "YOU MUST PLAY ME" feeling about it.. It feels so ho-hum, doesn't it?

This is my plan as well, for the same reason.

Huge fan of the series (except for IV of course), but this one just never really did it for me. Had high hopes too. Alas...

I would bite the bullet, but sadly I just picked up  a 19" LCD TV, so I am broke as heck.  Also, as many have previously mentioned, this game did nothing for me too.
