Yep, and boy do they ever gush. PC Gamer's print review is apparently out, and they gave it a 98% (their highest mark ever), and call it "the best PC game of all time", or something along those lines.

PC Gamer UK gave it a 97%, and also called it the best game evar. Those are the only two I know of so far.

I really am starting to get pumped up to play this one!

My only problem with this is wasn't it PC Gamer that gave Doom 3 a high score (in the 90s, maybe high 90s)?  In my opinion that game sucked except for its technology (that was limited to dark and confining halls/rooms).  Early reviews tend to overrate, we shall see what some of the others come up with.

Your local magazine stand smile They aren't on the web. Well, there's a leaked copy of the PCG UK review, but I don't know where.

Erik Wolpaw, of Old Man Murphy fame, reported on QT3 that he stopped by Valve and played the first quarter of the game and that HL2 completely lives up to the hype.

What about toilets.  I forget who it is, but there is a GGer that must have workable toilets in the game in order to purchase a game.

I never really had any doubt the game would be great. Unfortunately, the delays and the soap opera have redered me numb to excitement. I don't think I'll get excited till I'm actually playing the damn game.

Can i tip hookers to flash me and then kill them, make frequent use of those action movie phrases such as "your face, your ass, whats the difference!" and fight off aliens that are bent on stealing our women and ruining my vacation? Because if i can't do all of that, i won't but it Tongue

I found that article in PC Gamer to be amusing - Chuck Osborn does his best to impress upon the reader that even though HL2 is on the cover and pays for some hefty ad space, he's not being biased smile I have to admit the review did psyche me up enough to pre-order the game.

I'd wait for that game to come out too, except that it doesn't exist anymore.
