Another Wii update(a better one...metroid)

okay,to coincide with what is practically Metroid month

the Wii has had another update in the wii ware section of the shopping channel,its a preview and vids of metroid 3,and then it becomes its own channel....whether its a metroid channel or a future video game trailer channel i am not sure

because this game isnt out until october 26th for us in the Uk,this channel thing isnt available in Europe(as i just found out when i turned my wii on)....we are not worthy

october is a better time for me,especially now GTA 4 isnt due then,so maybe it will be a day 1 purchase

Demos are out there, but they're called 'emulators' and 'ROMS'

I've been waiting for Super Metroid for the VC since I first heard of the VC. I really wish they didn't wait till 8 days before release date of MP3 to put it on there, but I am still happy that I will finally be able to replay this classic on Aug 20th!

Well I just checked out the new metroid channel. Essentially it is just 2 trailers. One a proper trailer and one a gameplay video. (2 more videos open on Monday.)

The proper trailer is quite good. It annihilates the "afraid of the dark" ads for Echoes. You get to hear some actual voice acting from the game. The gameplay video is pretty cool, but I don't like how much the reticule is moving around on the screen. I hope that's the default and not the "advanced" control setting which is supposed to very closely mimic mouse/keyboard controls. One nice graphical upgrade is missiles now have a cool smoke trail when fired.

Shockingly, neither of these trailers are online at metroid.com. Just a graphic telling you to get the videos on your Wii. I can't believe N doesn't have a metroid prime 3 site yet. GET A CLUE NINTENDO!

Damn it! I forgot to check for updates on my Wii earlier this morning,  oh well I guess it's something to look forward to for after work.

Great news that at least some kind of demos are finally coming to the Wii and that these 2 metroid games are finally arriving on VC! I was considering replaying Metroid Prime this month, but now I'm not sure I'm going to have the time.
