Another freakin Star Wars RTS

The Star Wars RTS games that were released were very disappointing to say the least. Odd thing is that I still have hope they release a good one.

People from Westwood are involved, so there may be hope.  Less resource gathering, a decent UI and less micromanaging may make a decent Star Wars RTS finally.

The other 3 Star Wars RTS games were made before Lucasarts started getting good developers to do their licensed games.  They got Bioware to do KoTOR, and the group doing this new game is made up of ex-Westwood employees who worked on the Command & Conquer games.  I think the era of bad license games is ending.  Companies are starting to realize that, although bad games with a popular license will sell, good games with a popular license will sell even better.

I thought the SW RTS that was based on the "Age of (something)" engine was supposed to be good?

Laner, I liked it.  People complained because they thought of it as a Mod for AoE 2 and not a brand new game.

While I am not overly excited about this new RTS I will pick it up if it is done fairly well.  I don't need it to be revolutionary, I just need it to be balanced and polished.
