TomsHardware.com put up a very impressive video of Crysis being demonstrated at E3 yesterday.  it's all footage of live gameplay in a jungle setting and shows quite a few aspects of the game i hadn't seen in previous videos...several game features in addition to the amazing graphics.  it's definitely worth checking out if you're following the development of Crysis.

you can find it here

I'm pretty sure Crysis is the game I'm building my next system for.

It was revealed at E3 that Crysis will be available for Windows XP as well as Windows Vista.

Quote from: "GameSpot"
Crysis will support both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10, which means that you can run it on a Windows XP PC, as well as an upcoming Windows Vista PC. You'll get the absolute best graphics with a Vista machine, but DirectX 9 still will look good. The version of the game we saw was using a DirectX 9 machine "simulating" DirectX10 by brute force, and it looked amazing.

About halfway through the video I thought, "this would be more impressive if they could mow down trees with a machine gun" and then they did.

Meh graphically it was ok.

I watched the version from Toms Hardware.  LOL at shooting a couple of guys with darts and then going up and blowing their heads off with real bullets.  Seems a bit strange.

Secondly I didnt like the fact that he was firing half a clip into someone before they went down.  Looks more like something out of Quake than a 'realistic' shooter.  And certainly taking out the trees was cool but it was hardly realistic.  I'd like to see someone to that in real life with an ordinary assault rifle.
