Ok, so I admit, I've been harsh on Sony the last few years. I really feel like they've done their customers a disservice with their attitude, more than anything else, and the price has always been my biggest barrier (the tiny boy-hand controllers didn't help much either). BUT. Last Xmas I purchased an Insignia Blu-Ray player from Best Buy, mostly because $200 was all I could spare and I need me some HD movie goodness due to the obsolescence of my HD player. Fast forward 5 months and the POS decided it didn't want to read any discs anymore. Obviously still under warranty, I took it into my local BB and Geek Squad shipped it off to a repair center. They called me today, informed me that they junked it and I was free to either get it replaced outright or put the money I spent on it towards a different player... I think you can all guess what I am doing....  |

I had a non-PS3 Sony blu-ray player and hated the shit out of it, took it back and haven't replaced it since. I need to get a new PS3...  |

Most likely, it was returned. The person that did so might have even lied and said they hadn't hooked it up. It's good you took it back though...Sony is really a pain about providing service and there could be an issue if the system was registered twice. |
