An idea for a game for 360...

Ok, ok I know I am a bit of an oddball.  I was watching some TV during lunch yesterday and OLN was on.  Some fishing show or another was airing and it got me thinking.  With the upcoming Test Drive Unlimited we will have a persistant world to drive in.  Why not apply the concept of a persistant world to a fishing game.  MS recently acquired that company for in game advertising, this game would lend itself well with product placement etc.  MS could hold official bassmaster type tournaments and perhaps even get real sponsors for the events and have actual prize giveaways (nothing elaborate, perhaps some sets of lures, rod/reels etc...)  There would be leaderboards for tracking of best catches etc.  You could get together with friends and fish together, sit back and shoot the breeze.  I really enjoyed the sega fishing title on the dreamcast, and it would add some variety to the 360.  Expanding your list of genres is never bad for a console.  

So am I nuts, or would others out there get in to a game like this?

Is it bad that I don't understand your veiled attempt at making fun of me!  Just for that I will have to absolutely decimate you in Table Tennis!  Even us hicks like to play games damnit!

Edit to add...part of the reason I thought about this.  I used to love fishing as a kid.  I fished quite a lot, but alas I developed a very bad skin disease and so my sun exposure has to be very limited even when wearing sunblock.  No it isn't as good as the real thing, but better than nothing.  Now if I were rich I would have an indoor lake where I could fish, free from the harmful rays of the nasty sun... sadly I am not rich.

In part, as bad as it is to say it, I would want graphical realism and the live structure.  I really don't want to fish using mario or luigi.
