enter the mind of a 2 year old in this new horror adventure:

Quote
Among The Sleep invites you into the mind and body of a two year old child. After being put to bed one evening, mysterious things start to happen.

Being played in first person, the game let its players immerse themselves in a child's limitless imagination. This is a perspective we all have a distant familiarity with, but few can clearly remember what it felt like.

In the borderland between dream and reality, surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity.

it's due out next year for PC & Mac.

like every indie game developer nowadays they've decided to go with a Kickstarter, which is now up.  basically they want to be able to work on the game full time instead of taking longer to work on it part time:

Quote
We're now at the point in development where we have finished the core gameplay and levels, but there is still a lot of production, and a ton of polishing and testing left to do. We want to take our time and make the game as good as possible.

The only obstacle we see going forward, is that everyone at Krillbite still work part time jobs on the side to survive while developing Among The Sleep. This inhibits our focus and productivity on the game, and we donít want to lower our expectations to the quality of the finished game, or delay the release. We hope this Kickstarter will help us deliver the best possible experience we can, within a reasonable timeframe. Another reason to use Kickstarter is our wish to stay independent, and free from the creative boundaries of a publisher.

We've found that $200.000 is the amount we need to quit our part-time jobs, and continue working all hours of the day on finishing Among the Sleep.

Great looking game. I am intrigued, but I have a 15 month old and she makes the same quick breathing sounds as in that gameplay trailer. Thing is, she does that when she's all excited and happy. I think its going to screw me up to associate it with fear.

A Pew Research Center poll found nearly half of Americans hold the false belief that TARP was passed under President Obama, while only 34 percent know it originated under Bush.
"Oh yeah?" Bush replied. "50% of the people were wrong."

I finished the Alpha yesterday.  Looked pretty good!  My one concern is that the FOV is a bit narrow and there is a lot of head bobbing in the game right now.  I sent the devs a question about it and they said that it has been common feedback and they will be offering sliders in the final version to fix both problems.

This is now available on Steam.

Iíve played about an hour of it so far I donít regret backing it on Kickstarter.  Right off the bat the game creates some pretty surreal environments that are fun to explore.   The physics engine helps here and I had quite a lot of fun just climbing around places that I wasnít supposed to go.  One of the first things I did was climb onto the kitchen stove, open the cupboards and throw all the dinner plates onto the floor.  The actual gameplay mechanics (as in stuff other than just walking around) seem pretty limited so far but I think the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

Anyone else back it or pick it up today?

I've been looking forward to this as an Oculus Rift game, but it sounds like there are some implementation issues that are going to need a patch to sort out. I'm looking forward to it though.

I finished this last night.  I liked it, but it is very short.  Less then 4 hours.  I think itís worth $10 for the experience but I probably wouldnít recommend it at full price unless you really like Amnesia-like games.
