I can't remember the last time I took a week off from work just to play a game. I used to though. biggrin

Unfortunately, I'm out of vacation days. I'll have to make due, somehow...

And as usual, when it comes to the shots -  drool

This will be the first time that I'll own a console that will humble my pc.  The lighting, shadows, character textures, terrain textures, foliage, trees, water, and the water reflections look amazing.

I owned both the console and pc versions of MW, but there's no way my slightly above average rig could run all of those effects.

You know what's scary? I have what I consider to be a high-end rig, and I'm even debating on getting the Xbox 360 version just to make sure it plays well. Yes, I'd lose out on all the mods, but...

Love the shots.  Can't wait for the game.  Now that I've said that, I'll post the obligatory, "but damn, it's always blurry" post about the overuse of bloom.

Don't mention that to Kathode. I have. Several times. In person. I'm much bigger than him. He still acts like he is going to kick my ass every time I tell him that pretty shiny lights can actually be overdone. Lets hope he doesn't see this though, lest I suffer his wrath.

Way too much bloom.  People need to realize that it's the artistic design that'll make something seem fantastical, not how fuzzy you can make it.

Right now it looks like a fantasy version of a soap opera camera.

The guy with the skills tab on the left, would he be wearing duemer (sp?) armour? Maybe we'll get to know a bit more about them this game smile

Or has everything been cleared up by now, about their sudden disappearance?

As to the bloom effect, it may not be so bad once you see it in motion. But regardless, I do think it gives the game a sort of 'magical' air, like in PoP: SoT.

They aren't overdone as you can see for yourself in the video footage.

Lighting bloom is this year's version of lens flare. Remember when space sims were all the rage, then one person added lens flare? Next thing you know, you've lens flare in every game around.

Now it's lighting bloom. Go kathode, rock on you. biggrin
