I'm about 24 hours in and absolutely loving this game.  However, I'm still confused about a few things.

1)  Does Joachim ever get any more special attacks?  The only one I have so far is "Drain Touch", and I'm wondering if there is some kind of item I'm missing or not using correctly that gives him more special attacks.

2)  Is there a trick to gaining Anastasia's "Album" attacks?  I've tried using Snap Shot on nearly every enemy I've faced, but have only gained 2 special attacks so far, Aqua Edge and Dispel Press (I think that's the name.  The one that takes 1/2 of the enemies HP).

3)  Is there a way to transfer all crests from one player to another? It's really annoying to have to manually transfer all crests, equipment, and ring settings when rearranging the party.

4)  WTF is that "Solomon's Key" thing.  No matter which crests I put on it, it never seems to do anything.

Thanks!

1) Yes he does.  He learns them from a wrestler that you must have missed.  He is in one of the English towns, to the left of the wagon where the gay guys set up shop at.  Southhampton maybe?

4) When you place all the crests correctly in a given region it adds a spell to each crest of that region.  You will know when you get it right, as it will give you a message and tell you which crest got what powers.  Check www.gamefaqs.com if you want spoilers.

I dont know the answer to #2, I havent got that far.  I think that #3 is a no, and yes it does suck if you are swapping people in and out with any regularity.

!) Your looking for Joahcims master, the Great Gama. He can be found in Southhamption I think, and later in Japan. You can learn 2 new attacks, Grandslam, and Deathtron Hammer from Gama. Trick is, equip Leonardos Bear to avoid instant deaths, and try to use Bat form to kill Gama before he does his cheese attacks with the Ring Keys.

Deathtron Hammer BTW = Ownage. Best attack in game overall, and makes combos godlike.

2) Most of the Album Attacks are from the Sidequest bosses, doable right about when Yuri and gang kill Uber Astaroth. If its big, unique, and seems to cast some strange spell you've never heard of at you, then its probally a album picture.

3) The Crests have to be removed and redistrubuted manually, or by the Auto-distribute thing. I didnt really bother, as I used Yuri, Karen, Blanca, and Joachim the entire game and never once touched my casters unless forced. Make Blanca your main healer, get him Arc Heal, Arc Cure, Arc Rage, and Rez, and your set smile

4) Solomons Key is a giant map which uses the crests (spells) you find as riddles to unlock more power out of them. It is divided into 9 zones which represent the classes the crests come in (Dark, Light, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Demon, Angel, Kingdom). Looking over Solomans Map (key), you can see these zones. As you collect crests, see if you have enough crests in a certain category to fill all the slots.

For example, the Ocean is home to all the water themed crests. I think there are 7 total which you can find early in the game. Go into the Ocean area, and read the clues on each crest. Using the clues, look on the map for visual clues as well which combine to tell you which goes where. One Crest might be "Visago, Lord of the Forest, who likes to be by the ocean and his friend Evingas". With that clue, look for a slot in that themed area by the ocean, and near Evingas. Once you place all the crests in the right spots, they unlock the true power of those crests, and your spells get upgrades. A Crest which used to just have heal and rage, will now have Arc Rage or something similar.

Yo yo. Ok, I am 13 hours into the game right now, in the caves trying to rescue Roger, after just escaping from..Alexandra? the crazy SM chick.

For some reason, I feel like I have just hit a brick wall. The game is fun yes, the combat system is both innovative, deep, and extremely entertaining, but for some reason I am finding myself just a tad...bored maybe? Its just that the story, while vaguely interesting at first...is so slow and meandering at this point (and really is to this point incredibly basic and almost childish) that I am just not having that urge to push forward. The thing with the Final Fantasy games that always keeps me going through the fairly linear combat-new area-cinema, rinse repeat is the almost always interesting and involving story.

So someone, convince me to keep going smile
