Aksys has announced that they're bringing the 3DS sequel to 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, to the US sometime this year. Also, the new Famitsu reveals a fourth game in the Etrian Odyssey series, this time for the 3DS - details here.

I'd love the sequel too. Nowhere near enough to even think about getting a 3DS though. Too bad, I can't imagine that there's anything in the sequel that would really necessitate being on the 3DS either. I mean, it's a text-based game, basically.

If I like the changes/additions they have in store for Etrian Odyssey, that very well may be what finally makes me want a 3DS.

Etrian 4 will be a must buy for me. Every game in the series improved on the last one and I can see the addition of 3D actually being a cool thing in a dungeon crawler.

There's also a Vita version of the game, although it hasn't been confirmed for the US.

The Aksys press release reveals the North American name for the 999 sequel - Zero Escape : Virtue's Last Reward (huh?) and confirmation that the Vita version will also be coming to North America.

I played the demo on Vita and it seems like it's on track to be just as good as 999.
