It was launching today right?
I have no update available on my 3DS, so what gives? Is it launching at 11:59 PM Hawaii time tonight or something?

You'd think it would be out by now, what with the Japanese getting it first.

I've read your reply twice.... and still trying to decode it.
Is the launch only for Japan today, or do we get the store today too?

The last I read (after checking every twenty minutes or so) is that it will update "this evening" but that's quickly running out, too.
I also heard that the 3D games aren't actually going to be available until later in the week.
You almost have to wonder why they're even bothering.
EDIT: Well, I just tried to update again, and this time I got an error message. I'm hoping that means it'll be ready very shortly and not that the whole thing is borked.
EDIT 2: Nope.
BTW, they need to move the Update button so that it's not right next to Format System Memory.

I heard 9:40 EST, but we're now at 10 EST and it's still not here. Oh Nintendo, you tease, you.

27 minutes ago from Nintendo via their Facebook page:
"Hold tight guys, the system update is coming soon and we will let you know as soon as it is available!"
Sigh.

Posted from the 3DS web browser. Got Excitebike, but the store is wonky and can't get the Pokedex or the Gameboy Mario.

I guess it went up literally as I turned out my light.
I'm currently trasnferring DSiWare. I don't want to do a full transfer, since I don't want to overwrite my picks. This means I have to transfer everything one at a time. Goodbye, morning.
Also, it looks like I'll have to move games from the SD card onto the DSi then transfer again. This will unboubtably be after moving games off of the 3DS and onto that SD card.
And of course I lose all save game data.
I remember hearing that the 3DS can run games from the SD card, but I'm wondering if that's true.
Also, I still have something like 400 points on my DSi, so it looks like I'll have to buy stuff there, then transfer again.
Grrr.
The browser works okay, but I'm so used to pinching that it bugs me to have to click + and - to zoom. Also, the forum works okay, but the GT main page doesn't really load well.
I look forward to trying the new stuff out.
EDIT: Well, it does transfer games stored on a DSi SD card without having to move them back into system memory. That's the good news. The bad news is that they still have to be in system memory to run. This apparently holds true for all DSiWare, too. I was planning to spend a lot of cash today downloading DSiWare I missed due to running out of memory. Now, forget it.

Well, one knock against Nintendo. It looks like if you link multiple 3DS machines to one account, they don't share anything. So, I have a remaining balance on my 3DS from when I bought $5, but it doesn't show up for my son. Also, I purchased the Super Mario for Gameboy on the Virtual Console, but he can't download it to his machine. He would have to pay. Apple got this right, so why can't Nintendo?

This is how you easily sell multiple versions of the same old game that you sold 12 years ago. NIM$.
