I just very recently purchased a 360. Is it OK to leave that behemoth of a power supply plugged in all the time?
What do you guys do & recommend?
Wasn't there once a problem with the original Xbox power supply?

There was a slight issue with the original Xbox power supply (nothing much - it only had a very slight chance of it catching fire), but as long as you don't keep it covered with a carpet or something, you'll be fine.
Personally, thanks to the many issues of the 360's power supply (yes, it does get hot), I keep it seperate from the heater that is my 360. But it's always plugged in (into a surge protector).

What they said, mine is far from the 360 and on a cool, hard surface. I don't know that I would set it on carpet if I could help it, same as the 360.

I have mines on a hard wood floor and it been fine. I seriously suggest not keeping it near your 360 as both put off a tremendous amount of heat

I have it stuffed behind my entertainment center on carpet, away from the 360. Plugged in all the time and I frequently leave my 360 running for days on end. Everything's been just fine.

Yup, I leave mine plugged in at all times but like they said way away from my 360. Here is a question, who out there has one of the external fans for the 360 power supply? Do they work well/ improve anything?
