[Xbox 360 MP] Halo 4 or Black Ops II?

Despite barely having enough time to feed myself let alone play games with any frequency, what MP license are most planning to pick up in the coming weeks?  It has been a long time since I played Halo MP, but it was always fun with the group, and Halo 4 looks pretty damn amazing.  Plus, as most of my MP gaming over the past few years has been with the COD series, Halo might be a welcomed change. 

However, I really enjoyed Blacks Ops MP and could certainly see myself losing a few study hours to that as well.  But this may be the first COD title I'm a little less interested in.  Although I had little interest in W@W SP, and its MP wound up getting a LOT of play time.

Being that I can only choose one (my free time is ridiculously limited, i.e. it doesn't exist, and I probably shouldn't blow $120 on two games right before the holidays, although I was just awarded a hefty pharmacy grant yesterday  ), which is most likely to see extended MP play with the GT community?  I'm leaning toward Halo 4, but if most are planning to play BLOPSII, I can always put Halo 4 on my Christmas list with other SP games like AC3. 

I could use some MP to help restore what minimal sanity remains.

I think Halo 4 might be your best bet. I'm getting both games but I really did have a lot of fun with our custom Halo matches (Rocket matches, the Racing one, infection)

In the end though, I know you will have fun with either and I can't wait to hear Pete's colorful commentary as he plays (loses)

Rocket race paired up with you was always one of the funniest game modes I've ever played.  Especialy when you were driving.  \ /

In the end though, I know you will have fun with either and I can't wait to hear Pete's colorful commentary as he plays (loses) 

I have a bad feeling that I won't have much time to play either game, but when I do have time I want to make sure to have others to play with.  And, like you said, Halo may be a better fit as it'll be a change of pace from the COD series.  Not that I'm burned out or anything, and the Black Ops series for me has been more fun than MW, but it has been a long while since we last played Halo as a group.  Odds are I'll eventually have both, but one will likely be going on the Christmas list.

The hard part is figuring which to get first.

I'm skipping Halo until it's cheap.  I just don't care for the gameplay as much compared to COD and with both coming out close to each other it's a no-brainer for me.  As much fun as Halo with Pete is, I think I have more fun in COD without Pete than Halo with Pete

I decided last night to sacrifice AC3(which i was still in two minds whether to get),when i saw Halo 4 was just 5 days away,of course Black Ops 2 will prolly be on the list,but i am actually going to try and do what i said this year(and not buy it),and of course get it a month later

and i also started watching those Forward onto Dawn episodes on Halo waypoint last night and that pretty much sealed the deal(is that that girl from Chronicles of Narnia?)

i just need to finished Dishonored before next Tuesday

Hark averages at least one angry voice message a match for cheating (he's not), its funny though because all one has to do is check out the recorded video of the match to see exactly what's going on

I'll eventually have both, but it's just a matter of which to take the plunge with first.  Odds are I'll grab Halo 4 as it will be released 1st, and then wind up grabbing Black Ops 2 right when it is released so I don't fall too far behind Hark's three prestige flips before the rest of society even gets the plastic wrap off.

I have no self control.  Plus, it's easier to ask the wife for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Same boat. I cancelled my halo preorder because I simply don't have the time for both. Blops2 for me. I will eventually get halo at least to play the sp, but I still haven't played Reach yet, and I preordered that one.

Is Halo 4 going to be worth it for SP?  Even though I hated the story in the last one, I still ended up completing it.  But it sounds like this will be much improved.

I never got into Halo MP because I just don't like the fast paced combat so I doubt MP in this one will do anything for me either.

at least one of these games kept track of that too.... maybe that was Elite's 'feature'?
