So how does this work?

I know that the DL is only for a limited time, but if you DL and then delete it to make room, are you allowed to DL it again whenever?

Or is it a one time dealio?

you simply need to "buy" the license. installing is irrelevant.

Too bad I played R6V to death in co-op. I'd play the SP again, but the story for it seemed a bit too ridiculous to give it another go through. Loved a lot of the levels though - if you haven't played this game you owe it to yourself to play it for the cool levels alone.

I hope they make GRAW2 available as a free Gold game. That's one Tom Clancy game I'd love to play again.

For those that haven't played the Halo 3 campaign, I highly recommend it - one of the better Halo games for the sp experience. I agree a bit about the mplay and feel that Reach really turned a page for the better in that regard.  The later maps for H3 did help quite a bit for the mplay, but I'm basing my opinion more on LAN party, syslink play.

yeah...i thought it was good as well,i think this was one of the early games where you could take pictures in the game and i abused that feature a lot,i liked Halo 3 better than Reach SP,but Halo 4 SP kicks them all out of the water IMO..i thought that was fantastic,i really need to pick that up again(maybe GOTY edition later on)

I have Halo 3 on disc,i may download it still and give the disc version to my sister(even though she has not played the others)

games for gold extended

FYI they stated ongoing benefit for the 360.. Would be very dumb not to extend to the XB1, but MS hasn't shown the best of judgement of late

The games aren't playable on the XBox One - and you only need one gold account and it works on both simultaneously. Still, that's 24 games/year to keep. Not bad.

I think they should be doing this:

One XBLA, one full retail per period.

Eg: Crackdown 2 (which was retail, but is available to buy online), plus Castle Crashers (or something similar).

It would also be nice if they were to look to offer FREE DLC / avatar items to people who already own that product before the sale.

quick read that and was like 'Crackdown 2 is coming?' then re-read it and was like 'effin' Purge'.

A World of Keflings(got)(1st Nov-15th Nov)
Iron Brigade(16th Nov-30th Nov)

I would have liked at least one retail game and not 2 XBLA games but i am certainly going to take a look at Iron Brigade,as I am a fan of Double Fine

I didn't finish Gears of War when I had it, so this is tempting. I seem to remember it being much weaker story-wise compared to 2 or 3 though.

Looks like the January games have been announced, and they finally have a good, somewhat recent game in Sleeping Dogs and there will also be Lara Croft: Guardian of Light.
