I can't imagine myself playing this with a controller.  The game was so fast and frantic, surviving with a mouse was difficult.  I can't imagine trying it with a thumbstick to aim with.

Of course, the best news is that apparently they're also releasing this on PC, hopefully on Steam.  This may be better than L4D.  biggrin
