hmm,not even seen a nudge feature on the wolverine table, but still not explored that table properly yet
The nudge on every table is the left stick. My problem is I'm never sure which way to nudge the table. If the ball is going left and I want it to come back to the right do I nudge the table left or right?

Just like on a real pinball table, if you overnudge, the game goes into TILT mode, locking the flippers and dropping the ball (often it completely ends your game). Small nudging is okay (some would say necessary), but they design the game so you won't overuse it.

I suck at nudging, except to get a Skill Shot on Biolab, but its like moving the table, so if you want the ball to move right, you nudge the table left, and vice versa.

I have a feeling that ping'll tell you nudge is absolutely key to pinball. I almost never use it.
Nudging the ball is very key to pinball right up there with learning to cradle the ball with both flippers and shooting it where you want.

[head explodes] That got me to google for that phrase and I turned up the Internet Pinball Database with this skills page. Seems like it might come in handy for us mere morals...

When you said both flippers, I thought you meant trapping/cradling one ball with both flippers at the same time. Which I don't think is physically possible. I do trapping all the time.

I'm not a nudger, and I'm unlikely to sped much time on a table that drains super easy on the side. I'll probably pick these up when they release on PS3 next week.

I am HOOKED on Pinball FX2. I snagged Zen pinball a bit back for PS3 and it didn't really win me over as well as the original Pinball FX. The new Marvel tables are great as well as the new FX2 ones. I haven't played them enough to have a favorite but I know I'll put some time in. If you posted in this forum, you should have a Gamertag invite from me. = r00b BC

I had taken a break from pinball for a while. When I played again tonight, it said that they had to reset the Rocky and Bullwinkle table scores due to an exploit. I don't remember what my score was before, but it must have been pretty good since my superscore dropped quite a bit. I wonder if I unknowingly used the exploit.
Any word on new tables?

Those are good tables, but I already have them for Zen Pinball. Maybe if they'd been released when I was worried about driving up my superscore, I might have double dipped. Mars has some neat effects, but I think Paranormal is the better table.

Speaking of superscores, they've now been reset to zero. You have to complete one game while connected to Live, to restore your superscore (obviously it should be lower since they also reset your Rocky and Bullwinkle score). My wizard score has plummeted without any friend scores to boost it. So play one for the gipper.

looking on xbox.com marketplace, seems it IS a price increase, every 'single' table they have released have been 200 points..and even the Marvel Pinball Pack was 800 points which included 4 tables..so yeah a 40 point increase, maybe they think interest may have slackened by now and they want to make up the profit

Yeah, I'm suprised that it has taken this long to get some "new" tables out for the game. I only say they are "new" since they have been out on Zen Pinball for the PS3 for a long time now.

Paranormal is one of my favorite tables. The 'story' is sort of a X-Files Noir. You investigate various cases including the chupacabra, jersey devil, haunted house, alien abduction, loch ness monster, the bermuda triangle and a giant alligator. There's a ton of gameplay variety on the table. For instance, on launch (with a good old spring plunger), you can get three different skill shots. Gravity is inverted on the bottom play area. The Haunted house is a vertical play area. Multiball can be triggered differently depending on which phenomenon you choose to investigate. Your choice is reflected by a hellraiser style puzzle box. One of the more interesting twists is that big scores can be gained from a good bumper shot. To reach the bumpers you have to shoot through a spinner. The spins of the spinner are multiplied by the number of bumper hits, so you can score nearly nothing all the way up to millions of points.
To anyone who hasn't played it on Zen pinball, I highly recommend picking it up.

Okay i played some Mars Table and i gotta say i enjoyed it a lot, maybe a little distracting with the weird probes/robot things flying around but its a big scoring table which is what i like, and i got 1 of the achievements when first playing,i have not played for a long time so my superscore had shot right down,.especially after the R+B table was reset

I'm embarrassed to say that I never got the 4 elements theme with the Fantastic Four until tonight. Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Maybe it's because water is the weakest, thematically.
