It looks a bit like Moonbase Commander meets Ring of Red.  Pretty cool.

I'm lovin what I'm seeing of this game so far. It's Double Fine so its bound to be decent. If it turns out to be an XBLA game, with visual like that, so much the better.

So fun!
Had a blast last night playing this 4 player.
I must say, it does a good job of having a new player join a group. You can still contribute by spending your scrap on upgrading teammates higher quality emplacements. (Or by just acting as the scrap collector)

As said last night, the random loot drop system is great, and would be even greater if the game permitted trading.
Would be nice to have some kind of an indicator on the ship that recaps the party's load out.
Ended up with some very un-prepared rounds.
Bit of a connection issue as well. Out of 4 of us we ended up calling it a night as 2.

Cant wait to go back at it tonight.

I've been reading that this is fun but absurdly short--that you can get through the whole campaign and have all the items you would want to unlock in the course of one or two evenings.  How's that jive with GTer experiences?  Can you dial up the difficulty or something in order to give it more longevity?

Wouldn't be surprised - it's an XBLA game after all.  But I've played two or three hours and I'm not out of Europe yet.  Granted though I've only been playing single player so far.  As a single player game I would not give it stellar reviews.  You basically run back and forth across a map very slowly.  Multiplayer is much more fun from what people tell me.

Sprinting legs help but the cooldown time and lack of steering is a bit annoying.  Overall I just didn't find it that compelling by myself *shrug*  I love the tone though.  Hoping to get some co-op time in this weekend.  Got to the boss last night and got obliterated twice in a row.

Completely cleared the game last week

Like Hark stated, this game could benefit SO much from two simple things.
-Removing dialogue cut scenes once you've cleared the map.
-Adding a survival mode to the existing maps.

If they added additional ranks and more powerful weapons on top of that, this game would keep living on a nightly basis.

XBLA Fans reports this news, which announced by Double Fine's Greg Rice and Brad Muir on the Whiskey Media Big Live Live Show Live. The name change was apparently necessary for the European release, and now it's necessary in the U.S. so that players of all regions can play online together.

In addition to the name change, the game will receive a new survival mode and a ton of new unlocks. Muir said that further DLC is coming in the future but didn't provide any details.

New DLC has been added for 400 points.  I gave it a shot and man is it hard.  Also new survival maps and loot.

I'd definitely be up for some coop action to beat this bad boy.

This game is awesome, but I still can't understand the unskippable cutscenes.  These maps are made to be played again and again, yet some of them have 60 second or longer boring unskippable cutscenes.  There is no way I'm going to keep playing those modes that way. 

Thankfully survival mode has none.

It's coming to PC!  Next Monday the 13th!  It will include the Rise of the Martian Bear DLC!
