Don't care about online - which of the two has the better single player experience?

For single player COD2 gets my vote.  Better level design, more exciting set pieces, just overall better at pulling you in than GRAW was.  The only thing going against COD2 is that if you've played the excellent COD4 (and if you haven't, why not?) or COD3 then COD2 will feel a little pedestrian.

Because I only got a 360 2 days ago and I like paying under $20 for my games smile

Get GRAW2 over GRAW1. You can get it under 20$ if you look around.

Between GRAW 1 and CoD2 I'd go for CoD2.  But I agree with Calvin that GRAW2 is better than both of them and can be had for $20 used.

I've only played GRAW1 on the PC, but I'd definitely go with CoD2. It may be a bit on the short side, but it's a great gameplay experience.

I actually loved GRAW1 SP.  I can't compare it to COD2, but I think I liked the SP campaign better than GRAW2.  There are some graphical and interface improvements in GRAW2, and the SP is very good.  However, if you think you might play both, then I say start with 1.  You may also be able to find R6V for less than $20, which is also excellent, and has better MP, imo, than the GRAWs.

GRAW1 is good, but the levels are a little uneven in length and difficulty.  COD2 is great, through and through.

However, if you're thinking of continuing, GRAW2 is also good (better than GRAW1, IMO, but the difficulty spikes sharply at one point), but COD3 kinda sucks.

COD2 it is.  Wanted to take advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free on used games at Gamestop.  Also picked up Crackdown and Kameo.
