We've only played ep one but loved it! I just used that $20 psn card and grabbed 2-4. That $5.03 left on my account will get me the last episode shortly. Not too shabby. It's a great game to play with your wives. Mine isnt really captivated by too many games, but this seems to keep her interested to say the least. So, later tonight. Dinner, drink by the fireplace and episode 2!!!!

Are you playing in Utah?

Yeah, why do you ask?

Hey I see what you did there!

And yes I have multiple wives, just don't let this one know;).

So we played probably most of ep 2. Awesome.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I knew those damn dairy farmers were up to something! I'm assuming ill find out who the fuck the woman was in the camp and how she had Clem's hat! If anyone responds to that, a simple yes or no won't hurt me;)

Going to finish this one up tomorrow evening and start 3 promptly.

Episode 3 is really good. 4 is too.

I think 5 comes out tomorrow on the PSN so I will definitely be DLing that.

Has anyone been able to download?  The episode 5 tab in game says coming soon still.

Edit:  Weird I had to go to the PSN to download it.

Finished up tonight.  What a great game.  This is my surprise GOTY.  When I started I thought I would enjoy it, but getting to know the characters and going on the journey with them was outstanding.  Highly recommend if you haven't tried it.

Now for spoilers:

Spoiler for Hiden:
I had Clem take care of Lee.  I figured something was going to happen like that.  Did you watch the post credits scene?  I am guessing it was Christine and Omid on the hill....but then, they probably want you to think that.  I figured Season 2 would be a whole new group of survivors.  Kind of seemed like they were giving the impression that Clem was going to be the main char?

I never expected to enjoy myself as much as I did playing this. The ugly, hard decisions, the moments of laughter, and joy. All of it, what a story, and I enjoyed every moment of it, bravo Telltale.

Just finished the last episode. The conclusion was simple yet powerful. What a great series this has been. Kudos to Telltale.

Question for those who've completed it and watched through the credits:

Spoiler for Hiden:
So Clem is walking through the fields and sees two figures in the distance. Isn't that Omid and Christa? Why does Clem look terrified at the sight of them? Did I miss something? Just some nebulous setup for the next series?

well fuck.  I completed Episode 4, even got the achievements to prove it, but the game is insisting my last save was from September with Episode 3.  not really in the mood to replay episode 4 right now to make all the choices again...

[edit]  aha!  restored a few key files to previous versions from mid October and it seems to have fixed it.

yeah, that didn't make sense:

Spoiler for Hiden:
for fields like that she'd have to have gone way out of her way-  the beginning showed the train much closer to the city.

needless to say I finished up.  great story (definitely not my GOTY since I doubt I'd ever replay it), the comparison of decisions made at the end were screwed up though as they didn't specify what they were, they all said 'title description' or something like that.

Yeah, mine said that as well. The only flaw in an otherwise great conclusion. I'm guessing that the first decision was
Spoiler for Hiden:
Whether you chose to have your arm cut off
and the last one was
Spoiler for Hiden:
whether you chose to have Clem shoot you or leave you
.

As for the post-credit epilogue:
Spoiler for Hiden:
The fear Clem displayed must mean that the two people in the distance were not Christa and Omid. Perhaps it's a tease for the starting point of the next season of the game?

This doesn't look like its getting a retail release anytime soon in the UK(it's due 4th Dec in U.S.),i can't find it on any shop sites(its on Amazon.com but not Amazon.co.uk),I also tweeted Telltale games asking if it was coming to UK as retail but got no reply

so i may as well get them from XBL,probably cost cheaper anyway

I guess this is plausible, if we are to believe she has super sharp eagle eyesight and can identify and recognize two little black specks miles away in the distance. I always take these post-credit scenes with a grain of salt anyway.

Personally thought 5 was the weakest chapter of the series and most poorly written.  Also it was the shortest.

Overall ending was good.

Overall the game is a 5/5.

Questions:

Spoiler for Hiden:
How did the stranger get the other walkie talkie?  Or did he just have one and lucked into the frequency?

Ending still plays out the same if you don't cut his arm off?

Spoiler for Hiden:
I think it still plays out the same. I chose to leave the arm on and if you see all of Lee's subsequent animations through rest of the episode you'll see "chopped" arm just hanging there doing nothing, as if it weren't there at all. Maybe some dialogue will change but the animations all look the same with the only difference being Lee's character model with and without his arm.

So last in episode 3 we had a wtf eek!!! Moment...

Spoiler for Hiden:
That bitch killed Claire!?! Was there a way to prevent that? We are playing to live with our decisions,so there's no going back but I'm curious if it was possible to have her not die. Yeah, and we left that bitch on the side of the road to die!

Finally finished up the last two episodes. Really great game all around. Only dissapointment near the end was the reveal of the guy at the other end of the walkie talkie. But other than that it was pretty perfect. Had so many monents where I was just totally shocked at what happened or felt pretty bad with some of the choices you had to make.

Am curious to see how the game plays out with making other choices, like choosing to save other characters when you can or letting them die. But don't think I'll ever play this one through again to find out. I feel like I had my own unique expierence with the game and will leave it like that.

So my interpretation of the post-credits ending:

Spoiler for Hiden:
Clem seems conflicted because everyone she's come in contact with since Lee found her has died.  Alone she's just alone, but with other people she'll likely have to watch them die too.  *shrug*  My 2c.

just finished this game.  well written, as i really felt a connection to the characters, especially Clementine.

On a side note, I recently bought this, and was able to just play through without waiting for new episodes to release.  For me, this worked out much better, play wise and price wise, and I'll be sure to always do this with Episode type games.

Just finished Episode 1

I got this Stats screen at the end,it interesting how many chose differently to me,LOL
Spoiler for Hiden:
Honesty:Lie To Hershel-You and 63% of players were honest

I figured it would be best if they knew about my past upfront, also i was hoping it would shed light on Lee's past(It didn't at this time)

Who Would You Save?:Duck or Shawn?-You and 49% of players choose Duck

My first BIG decision in the game,i know now that only one can be saved,at the time i was thinking we could move the tractor off Shawn's leg if we saved Duck First and then we could of moved Shawn and helped him....guess that didn't work

Loyalty:Side With Kenny?-You and 48% of players defended Kenny

Only 48% sided with Kenny when that other guy was being a prick?...erm,okay,LOL(I guess that was the part it means anyway when they first enter the Pharmacy)

Mercy:Gave Irene the Gun?-You and 45% of players gave her the gun

Not sure why everyone else in the game thinks that she could still be saved(perhaps because it's still early in the disaster),but i knew she was fucked, better to let her go out now and her way i guess

Who Would You Save? Doug or Carley?-You and 76% of players chose Carley

Again, here's me thinking that if i saved Carley, she would shoot the Zombie on her,and then shoot the ones on Doug...didn't happen that way.she shot the one on her and the one coming at her,and then continued to shoot the ones nearer to her,and Doug was screwed...seeya Doug

Almost all my choices in that game were based on what would give lee and clementine the best chance to survive. Regarding your spoiler tag:

Spoiler for Hiden:

Hence for the second choice I tried to save shawn and not the kid.
For the girl with the gun. Same thing. I'm not wasting one of my precious bullets on her.
And I saved Carly because she was hell with the handgun and for no other reason. Doug seemed pretty useless.

Spoiler for Hiden:
There have been some arguments on helping Doug because Carly was dumb as fuck(Batteries wrong way around in radio),and he knew his gadget crap..but yeah like you say,she was good with the gun

Episode 2 was a complete glitchfest stuttering all over the damn show, getting stuck on a screen but still hearing the scene playing on

I hope episodes 3,4 and 5 are not like that

Spoiler for Hiden:
Savior-Chopped David's Leg Off?-you and 84% of players chopped his leg off

Well sure i did,i saw The Walking Dead Season 2..he survived in that,LOL

Interrogation-Shot Jolene?-you and 87% of players had Danny Shoot her

er,no...i was talking to her trying to calm her down and Danny just took it upon him to shoot her, wasn't what i wanted

Pragmatism-Helped kill Larry?-you and 68% of players didn't help

I was hoping i could bring him back before the Zombified state hit him....again like The Walking Dead Season 2

Revenge-Killed both of the St John Brothers-you and 82% of players didn't kill both brothers

There was only one option for the first brother,i didn't want to kill him damn it!...well fucking annoyed at that, especially when Clemintine saw it happen

Survival-Stole Food from the Car?-you and 55% of Players stole food

damn right i did

EDIT:
Episode 3 was much better glitchiness wise
Spoiler for Hiden:
Sweet,Merciful Death-Did you shoot the girl in the street?-You and 59% of players did not shoot the girl

I went to shoot her,but i missed,LOL and then time ran out..so then the walkers got her

Left behind-Did you abandon Lilly?-you and 42% of players left her

Bitch shot Carley and i liked her,so yeah i left her

Standoff-Did you fight Kenny?-you and 44% of players talked him down

A Heavy Burden-Did you shoot Duck?-you and 79% of players shot him

I thought he had gotten hold of the gun and shot his mom at first, thinking that she was going to kill him

A Helping Hand-Did you help Omid?-You and 43% of Players did not help Omid

This one annoyed me because the choice came up so fast and the last thing i would of done had i my wits about me was rescue that 'soon to be a bitch in episodes 4 and 5 if she isn't one already' first

EDIT: Episode 4

Just finished playing it.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I'm so pissed that Kenny claims that I wasn't there for him when I actually made choices against my own judgment just because I thought Kenny was a decent enough guy and put some trust in him.  So now he'll be over on the boat while I'm trying to rescue Clementine.  I anticipated many of the surprises in this one, but it was still a good story.  I keep yelling at Lee to cut the infected part of his arm off as it seems to work in the comic book (assuming you survive the cut).  Of course, the doctor took off, so I guess there's not really anyone to take care of him if they went that route.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I left to search for Clem with only Kenny and Ben (who I obviously did not let fall to his demise). How does one get the couple Onid and his preggers lady to come with you as well? Do you have to reveal your bite? Because I didn't, and I was surprised to see that only 19% of other players made the same choice.

Spoiler for Hiden:
They came with me, in part at least because I showed them the bite. I think she even said something to that effect later in the episode. Kenny also came with me and Ben stayed with the boat (for all the good that did).

I wonder what happens if you let Ben drop to his death. Does Kenny then fall off the balcony like Ben did? Or can you keep Kenny alive until the end?

My end-of-chapter decisions:

Episode 2

Spoiler for Hiden:
Chopped David's Leg Off - I and 84% of players chopped his leg off
Tried every other option at my disposal first.  There just wasn't any other way.

Shot Jolene - I and 87% of players had Donny shoot her.

Helped Kill Larry - I and 68% of players didn't help

Killed both the St. John Brothers - I and 82% of players didn't kill both brothers

Stole Food From the Car - I and 44% of players didn't steal

Episode 3

Spoiler for Hiden:
Did you shoot the girl in the street - I and 40% of players shot her.

Did you abandon Lilly - I and 42% of players left her
You're goddamn right I did.  That bitch shot Carley in cold blood - I wasn't going to let her back in the RV with Clementine! icon_evil

Did you fight Kenny - I and 44% of players talked him down

Did you shoot Duck - I and 79% of players shot him

Did you help Omid - I and 43% of players did not help Omid
This was an honest-to-God mistake.  Maybe I jinked the controller, but the camera swept past Omid so fast, I didn't know grabbing him was a possibility.

Episode 4

Spoiler for Hiden:
Did you kill the boy in the attic - I and 74% of players killed him

Did you lie or threaten Vernon - I and 66% of players were honest

Did you bring Clementine with you to Crawford - I and 74% of players brought her
One of the hardest decisions I can remember being asked to make in a game.  I'm amazed the results are so weighted.

Did you let Ben fall to his death - I and 67% of players pulled him up
Ben has Clementine to thank for this.  If she hadn't spoken up on his behalf....

Did you reveal your bite to the group - I and 19% of players hid the bite
Under other circumstances, I would have fessed up immediately.  In the immediate aftermath of Clementine's disappearance, though, I couldn't risk having everyone get distracted with an argument about me.

Episode 5

Spoiler for Hiden:
Did you cut off your arm - I and 70% of players removed Lee's arm

Did you argue with Kenny - I and 27% of players calmly argued with Kenny

Did you turn over all your items - I and 58% of players surrendered Lee's weapons

Did you kill Clementine's captor - I and 56% of players didn't kill the stranger

Did you keep Lee from turning - I and 62% of players made sure Lee didn't turn
After the fact, a friend made a compelling point that Clementine needs to conserve ammo.  I hadn't thought of that - I was focused on ensuring she would be left with the knowledge that she was strong enough now to kill someone she loves as an act of mercy.

Spoiler for Hiden:

Yes, at the start of Episode 5,
Spoiler for Hiden:
Lee passes out from the effects of the bite and it's discovered then.
