[PSP News] Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Announced

No big surprise here, but Sony Europe has shown off Rockstar's new GTA PSP game to journalists today.  They also talk about that the game will be released in the UK after the PSPs launch over there on September 1st.  No word on U.S. release date as of yet.

The sites seem to be talking about this as still a remake of the original (or really, GTA III), but that title sounds like it will be more toned down, content-wise.  Stories?  Come on...

The most likely scenario I've head is that it will be mission/level based vice the open-ended scenarios of the console GTAs.  I don't think the PSP can handle the level of streaming that the console titles use without obliterating the battery.
