For you PSP users out there who are willing to update to the latest firmware (2.70), you can download the Japanese demo of Loco Roco here: http://www.jp.playstation.com/R/dl0425_locorocoCreate a folder named UCJ2100421 in your GAME folder in the PSP folder on your memory card and drop EBOOT.pbp in that folder. PSP -> GAME -> UCJS10041 And VIOLA, a nice demo that's only 8mb large, which is quite surprising. The demo itself is so very awesome. Use the shoulder buttons to tilt the world, use both to make your little Loco Roco's jump (I guess that's what they are) and the circle button to split them in half if they've eaten enough. It's a fantastic demo and you should definitely grab it if you update your firmware!

I picked up the demo the morning that the new update came out. I had heard the game was good, but I didn't pay it much attention. Needless to say, I will definitely be buying it when it comes out in the U.S.

Wow, that one little gimmick makes a huge impact on the personality of the game. It's the kind of thing you see and are shocked that no one thought of it before.
The Japanese is throwing me, though. I have no idea how to get through the section with the diamond pieces of earth. I've tried a number of button combinations, but nothing lets me squeeze through (which I assume I'm supposed to do). Any help?

Diamond pieces of earth...refresh me. I've gotten to that smiling sun and I think I need 15 of those little buggers, but I only end up with like 2-3 I LOVE THE MUSIC!

It's like a funnel. There are actually three ovals at the top, then a series of diamonds below that.

O just shakes the screen and the blob starts screaming. X does not seem to do anything.

Nope. I just tested it to make sure I wasn't remembering it wrong and all I had to do was tap it once. Cool, thanks! Has anybody gotten all 20 fruits? My best is all but one (19) with 2/3 guys rescued. If the whole game is this much fun and if there's some variety in the level design, then this is a big-time winner in my book. Probably won't sell worth a damn, unfortunately, but you never can tell (just look at Katamari). Between this, Lumines 2, and Every Extend Extra, plus the games I'm already playing (MGA2, Katamari), I'm good to go for the forseeable future.

I've gone through the demo nearly 10 times I'd say and have found new stuff with every playthrough. So damn awesome. If every level is like this (and according to a 1up interview, there will be 40) this game could very well be a GOTY-contender. I haven't come close to that many fruit, I don't think, and I'm still missing one of the little guy's - can't find him!

What I'm saying is that there's a ton of creativity in the level we've seen (or at least fantastic presentation/production that makes it seem that way). At the same time, one would be hope that there is far more to see/many more surprises in store.

Getting EVER so close to perfecting the demo - JUST found the "pinball" part of the level and wow, that's a pretty tough place to navigate. I got super close to getting everything - I STILL can't find one of those little guys, but I was only a few away from completing all the other things. Then I gotta work on a better time

Pinball?!
Do you mean the one where there are the trampolines at slight angles on opposite sides with a bunch of the jewels in the middle? I couldn't escape the feeling that there was something above thhat, but I couldn't get high enough.

See, I had read about this pinball area before and I thought that was the place...But nope, that is not the pinball area. If you want a little guidance, I can post where it is

I'll find it Got it. 19/20 3/3 511/541 I got tired of trying to get up to the top left of the pinball area and headed for the exit. Man, that's brutal. While I know it isn't the first time this has been done, it's quite interesting how they combined puzzles of varying difficulty into this one level.

This is a score I got last night. I am definitely skipping over a bonus area, because I can't believe I can miss 19 of those little bug things. I forgot what my time was, but believe me, it was something totally ridiculous (I'd say 40 minutes) because of that pinball area. My goodness.
