That looks damn amazing for a PSP game.  I knew I bought this system for a reason.

Very short but from what I could tell it looked just about as good as the PS2 version to me. A little hard since its a pretty low res video. Hopefully they can release some more stuff in higher quality.

Almost certainly between GoW 1 & 2 because:

a) It was a concept that Ready of Dawn came up with and pitched to Sony and Santa Monica Studios.  So they were probably going off of the events of the first game at that point. 

b) The ending of GoW 2 really doesn't leave any room for a side game- it pretty much mandates God of War 3 pickup right from there. 

c) There was at least one reference in GoW 2 that seemed to hint toward the PSP game

a comment about a previous history between Atlas and Kratos that I don't believe had been mentioned in either game.

Hmm, going by this quote it sounds like it's from before both GoW 1&2:

yeah, i do believe it's a prequel (which is the only thing that actually makes it sound interesting to me, as bored with kratos as i've become)...
