I may have to delete this thread if this turns out to be DLC(which i originally thought when i first heard this),but right now it has a game cover that shows XBLA,and is also listed for PS3 and PC

maybe it can connect somehow to Far Cry 3(technically i mean,as well as storywise)

The Cover though,i am having a hard time placing,the writing looks like a certain SEGA game in the 80s/90s(especially the Far Cry 3 logo),so perhaps its a mock up,and it really is DLC for the main game..too early in the morning for me to think straight and remember what that game is though

Multiple reports today suggest that a new Far Cry game is in the works at Ubisoft.

Far Cry 3 lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem kicked of speculation when he hinted to Joystiq, "Yes, I'm working on something now that will be surprising, I think, when it's announced."
He went on, "But it definitely is a 'strike while the iron's hot' thing, and we'll see." Yohalem offered no further hints, or whether he was referring to FC3 download content, a sequel or something else.

In addition to this, however, the Brazilian classification website has a rating for a previously unannounced 'Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon'.

Elsewhere, alleged artwork for the same title (pictured) has surfaced, seemingly revealing it to be an Xbox Live Arcade game. The Brazilian listing, however, notes the game for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Seems like it might be part of the hilarious satire.   

At least this does seem like a parody of some sort, unlike the main game.

so,now there are rumours that this could be all an April Fools joke(Correction:A Months long April Fool Joke )....but if it is,then an achievement list,XBLA cover and games rating is a lot to go through just for some shitty April Fool joke...or maybe Ubisoft are just having fun at the expense of the upcoming game

The only connection i can think off at the moment is it has something to do with the same island/islands from Far Cry 3 as you can see an island silhouette on the xbla cover in the first post....be great if we could go about the islands again but at a different age setting in the future perhaps(although that would be quite a big XBLA game)

maybe when it gets down to the $5 range.  of course the guy swearing all the time while playing in the second video didn't help the mood.

I was happy to see a large map of a whole island and some open world action.  Too much of those linear tunnels/corridors would kind of ruin the Far Cry experience for me since they were my least favorite part of FC3.  

I'm not sure if I can take that visual style for a long period of time, either, though.  Maybe it will be less annoying when not in a compressed video, we'll see.

Here's a preview and trailer.  Also, the game is listed on Steam at $15 (with the soundtrack as a preorder bonus) so that's probably the price it will be on PSN and XBLA.

The game is really stupid, and that's not a bad thing. Games can be pretty stupid and awesome...We're proud the script is pretty bad. We're trying to make a really bad action movie, so there's a lot of tropes and cliches in there. We had a lot of fun writing it...The shooter genre sometimes takes itself way too seriously, we really wanted to inject a bit more fun into it. And hopefully (switches to movie announcer voice) start a revolution.

I would guess the only reason is that it makes advertising a whole lot easier.

btw, if you took advantage of AMD's recent promo, you will be getting a copy of this free.  sadly, it does not appear to extend to the first promo, aka the one I got when I bought the card back in November.  ironically, a big part of the reason I upgraded then was for Far Cry 3.

Is anyone playing this and having a problem with save games on the PC?  When I go to "Load Game", my saves show up as "Locked" and I have to start the game from scratch every time I play.  Some people at the Ubi forums say that you have to finish the first mission before you can save, but others have played way past that point and the game will still not save.  I'm getting rather tired of playing the beginning of the game over and over again

I played through the whole thing without problem but I have heard of others with your issue.  It sounded like a work around was to disable cloud saves.
