Thought there was a thread for this but I guess not.

E3 reveal trailer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FK8dgzW0o8

Gameinformer had it as their cover feature recently.
http://www.gameinformer.com/p/theorder.aspx

And today some screenshots went up.  It looks very nice, though I don't know how I feel about the extra wide aspect ratio they are going for.

My enthusiasm for this game has been very limited so far, to say the least. I don't even fully know what kind of game it is. It looks like something that would have been awesome as an RPG, but my understanding is that it's some kind of shooter?

It's pretty much steampunk supernatural gears of war from early descriptions. Although the story has to jumping through centuries.

Co-op is a big thing, like GoW, you'll always have your teammates nearby.

Well, that's not encouraging. Then again, one of GoW's biggest issues in my eyes was the moronic character design (as in personality, not looks. Er... make that personality AND looks, on second thought), so if they can avoid that, it might not be so bad.

I love the style of this game, and I enjoyed Gears, though I'd love something more unique like this seems to be offering.

I like the look of the game but agree with TiLT, a RPG set in this world would be very cool.  Do we have any RPG's slated for the new generation?  The Witcher 3 is one right? but any others?

Yeah, was interested until the co-op shooter thing. I definitely agree that it would be more interesting as an RPG in that setting. Arcanum 2, anyone?

Love how it is to have the Arthur Legend and i didn't think of Gears of War,i actually thought Third Person Dishonoured, either way i am quite excited about this

You never know you guys,You may still get your RPG elements that are in a lot of shooters these days

"RPG elements" is not even remotely the same as "RPG", so that's hardly a consolation. Still, I'm perfectly happy to wait and see before judging this game, considering the serious lack of information at this point.

Looks good.   Seems like a Gears of War clone which isn't a bad thing in my opinion.

The issue with this genre for me (cover based shooters) for me is that when they get it right, it's excellent fun. When they get it wrong, it's fucking awful. There's very little room for 'pretty good' or even 'meh not bad.'

I have hopes for this one... but we'll see.

This is the one game on PS4 that has made me want to buy one, but it's got to be REALLY good. If it's not stellar, then my quest for a PS4 may be pushed off even further.

Delayed to early 2015.   A lot of games pushed out of this year: Halo 5, The Division, Dying Light, Witcher 3, Mad Max. Quantum Break also strongly rumored to be 2015 now.  And Batman has a delay rumor as well  crybaby

Yeah, this year is looking pretty drab for both current gen consoles in terms of exclusive releases. Let's hope there are some nice surprises at E3.

I'm not sold on The Order just yet, but if Batman goes into cryo freeze, I'll be upset.  Now, if they can revamp the city a bit and make it feel like an actual city instead of just a bunch of divided sections with bad guys standing about, I could live with that.

To be honest, I always saw this as a 2015 game.

Even though the gameplay is standard cover shooter so far, a lot of the graphics and engine systems behind it are new gen techniques which is going to have a lot of issues.

I'd rather give them more time to improve the gameplay as well.

This game has gone through some rough periods among press and players. There was incredible excitement over it at its first reveal, but when they showed off gameplay for the first time, enthusiasm cooled considerably, and The Order got singled out as one of the potentially biggest flops of 2015. Since then, things have improved again, and there's now real enthusiasm once more. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the best looking game ever seen on a console, from a technical standpoint, and people have gotten used to the fact that it's a 3rd person shooter.

Some of you may have written this game off during the time when press coverage was pretty negative, but you might want to give it a second chance. It's looking much better today than it did back then.

I'm not jumping in with it, but should reviews be good, I'll put it on my list to grab during a lull.

This is definitely one of those games that I'm interested in but is falling under the "no preorders for new ip" rule.

That was last gen, before all this ridiculousness starting happening. And anything naughty dog makes would certainly get an exemption.

My backlog is so big and full of solid games I just see no reason to jump in without reviews these days. I'm getting eager to pick up Dying Light, but even that has had a bunch of patches already. I hope 1886 is great (Ready at Dawn did great work on the PSP), but I don't want to be the guinea pig. I'll save that for Tomb Raider, Batman, Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted.

I'd like to see some definitive info on the length of the game. Some impressions are saying it is 5 hours long including cutscenes and others are saying it's much longer.

There's a Let's Play for the game, which your number is based upon, that clocks in at roughly 5 1/2 hours, I believe. The player rushes through the game without exploring anything, and almost never dies. I haven't seen it myself, but this is what I've been told. The player himself says that the game is longer than his Let's Play suggests, with reports indicating that the average length for most people should be somewhere between 8 and 15 hours.
