Speaking of the trophies for PoP, there is one for using the sands less than 20 times and one for using them over 200 times. That seems a little evil, because I'd think most people would be somewhere in between. There's also one for playing the game more than 10 hours, as opposed to the normal speed run-type trophy.

The audio is all out of whack. The voices are way too low and yet the beetle clacking is blaring out. Next time I boot up the game I need to check if you can adjust the SFX and voice levels.

You can, but the voices still seem too low.

Yeah, based on what I have been experienced and what I have read elsewhere, they really screwed up on these ports. Hopefully there will be a patch and I'll also wait before buying WW.

Well we have been told about Prince of Persia Trilogy,and also Splinter Cell Trilogy,now it seems its time for the Tomb Raider Trilogy

unfortunately this is not Tomb Raider 1,2 and 3,this is TR:Legend,TR:Anniversary(which i think is number 1 anyway) and TR:Underworld all on one Blu-Ray

The typical slew of new features will added, including nice new HD visuals and Trophy support for Legend and Anniversary. It seems the package will also come with bonus content such as a "male and female avatar for PlayStation Home", and a theme for the PS3 XMB.

I am guessing because Underworld is already out on PS3,then there is no new HD Visuals or new Trophies

As we expected, seeing as it was leaked earlier in the year, Ubisoft will next year be re-releasing a box set of older Splinter Cell games on the PlayStation 3.

Called The Splinter Cell Trilogy, it's essentially a second release of a box set first put out on the PlayStation 2, only this time with "high definition" graphics. The three games included are Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory.

The Prince of Persia Collection was "royally ugly". Here's hoping Ubisoft put a little more effort into Sam Fisher's first three adventures.

well if they can't even release PS2 version of Chain of Memories here in the UK i hold very little hope for KH1 and 2,but it would be great...i also want Parasite Eve 1 and 2(although they are PS1 games)

Because it's up to the individual publisher.  Ubi bringing out PoP and Splinter Cell has no effect on Sony bringing out SotC, Sly, and God of War.

I played a bit of Chaos Theory last year (PC version) and it's still awesome.  I just hope they aren't porting the crappy PS2 versions for this re-release but I suspect they are.

from what I understand they're only updating the graphics and not fixing anything else, which would be kinda dumb.  if you're going to take the time why not do everything right?

Prince of Persia Trilogy and Splinter Cell Trilogy heading to the 360?

The high-def re-releases have only been officially announced for PS3, but US ratings body the ESRB is carrying listings for Xbox 360 versions too.

Specifically, it lists Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time HD, Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within HD, Prince of Persia :The Two Thrones HD, Splinter Cell HD, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow HD and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory HD - all for Microsoft's console.

and if these are true i can't see why not the Tomb Raider trilogy as well

As Sehran over at gamepur.com recently reported, many believe that the DMC collection will feature new modes, secrets, achievements and a HD upgrade. There has obviously been no confirmation from Capcom at this stage

Last Guardian demo being considered for ICO collection

This spring's Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection could come with a demo for The Last Guardian.

That's according to Team Ico head Fumito Ueda, who was asked abot the possibility during a GDC demo of The Last Guardian.

"We're considering it," he told 1UP, "but we haven't come to a conclusion."

Hardly confirmation then, but enough to get us excited. As the site points out, the God of War Collection featured a God of War 3 demo, and a secret Sly 4 video was contained in the Sly Cooper Collection.

Legend and Anniversary came out on the 360 and PS2, but not PS3, I think.  It looks like these are basically going to be the 360 versions finally coming to the PS3.

Splinter Cell ports are based off of the PC versions. No MP is included. Will be available as disc or individually on PSN.

Yeah, our version isn't as bad as I'd feared, but it's nowhere close to that beautiful Japanese box.

I picked up the Tomb Raider trilogy awhile back. It's pretty decent. Not A grade, but decent and playable. The only thing is, the sound is quite messed up in Anniversary where it seems like they messed up on the sound mastering as it always seems to be very loud. Other than that, I'd recommend it.

for Japan and everybody else,the Metal Gear Solid 3 version will be the Subsistance version so it will include the old MSX games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2

According to Andriasang, in Japan, HD Edition includes HD remakes of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 along with a product code for the Game Archives version of Metal Gear Solid. The version of MGS3 is Subsistence, meaning you also get the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. In total, you get MG1, MG2, MGS, MGS2 and MGS3. The HD remake of Peace Walker is sold separately in Japan.

Internationally, HD Edition includes the HD remakes of MGS2, MGS3 and Peace Walker. As with Japan, MGS3 is based off the Subsistence version, so you also get MG1 and MG2. In total, you get MG1, MG2, MGS2, MGS3, and Peace Walker. You'll have to get MGS1 on your own.

Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 are included in their original form. While the development staff was originally considering putting at least the title screens in HD, they decided to keep it retro.
