So I'm pretty sure I am going to break down and pick up a PS3 this weekend to play all the exclusives I've been missing out on over the years.  So I'm putting together a list of "must have" titles that are currently out there and am looking for suggestions to add to it.  My current list is as follows:

Uncharted series
Infamous series
Demon's Souls
Heavy Rain
Shadow of the Colossus/ICO HD

So what else you guys got for me?  The only requirement is that it has to be a PS3 exclusive as I already own an Xbox.

Cov!

God of War 3 (if you've played the other 2; if not they're available in HD now and you should play them).

And probably Last of Us coming out mid month next month.

Edit: Put Heavy Rain at the bottom of your list. It's okay. Play the others first.

PixelJunk Eden
PixelJunk Shooter 1 & 2
PixelJunk Sidescroller

Also on PSN worth considering:

I actually bought my PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and loved every minute of it

However,it depends if you are a MGS fan,i can see the reasons behind people's complaints for the game(too much cutscenes, not enough gameplay)...and the storyline being bonkers, but thats MGS,for a 5 year old game the graphics are still very good

I liked Uncharted 1 but it didn't blow me away, number 2 i just could not get into(train at the beginning and then the sewers i was just hating everything about it and left it alone)
best thing about the uncharted games is the theme music
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkPF5UiDi4g

I was massively disappointed with Heavy Rain, after loving Fahrenheit(Indigo Prophecy in Yankland)

Just waiting for everyone to scream blue murder at me now from those last two Tongue

I think the PS3's greatest strength is PS+ with the 'free' games each month

DC Universe Online is okay to check out with it being free(no PS+ needed),but its a bitch of a download with it being an MMO

Have you played The Walking Dead?..not sure if the first episode is still free on PSN,either way, great game

Little Big Planet 1 and 2-the storyline was not anything to get excited about, its being connected online and trying out other people's levels that is what really impresses with these games IMO,great fun

I was enjoying Wipeout HD until it got too hard Tongue

Warhawk- well i enjoyed it,but spent most of my time on foot or in a car,the flying i couldn't get used to and got my ass handed to me everytime until it just was not fun,but the maps are nice and big ...although coming into the game now would be a waste of time, other people would probably own you and there is also DLC...i think the sequel Starhawk came out but i heard virtually nothing about that

Most of the ones I would recommend have already been mentioned.  I'll add a big +1 to:

-  God of War 3
-  Journey
-  Valkyria Chronicles
-  Unfinished Swan (can't remember if this was PS3 exclusive or not)
-  Ico/Shadow of the Colossus (even though neither really clicked with me, I would certainly say they're worth a look)

Just picked up a refurb unit over lunch.  Grabbed the following titles right off the bat

Demon's Souls
Uncharted 1
Heavy Rain

Is it me, or do the USB wall charger adaptors not work with the controller cable?  Gotta actually plug this into a computer to charge?

It's just you.  Tongue

I've used a couple of different wall chargers over the years,  which one do you have?  Shouldn't have to involve a computer...

Whenever I download anything from PSN, I just plug the controller into the PS3 to charge.  As for games, if you're into RPGs, Ni No Kuni and Tales of Graces f are both great choices, and if you like platformers, there's Sly Cooper : Thieves In Time.  Also, if you didn't play them on PS2, there are the Ratchet, Sly, and Jak HD collections.

you might want to also check out PSN Plus.  I've been using it for Vita games but I let a friend of mine use my PSN account on his PS3 so the whole subscription gets used and they've had some decent titles go up for free play.

PSN Plus is totally worth it.

I second Valkyria Chronicles, add Tales of Graces F for some nice JRPGing

I'm looking at picking up a new PS3 too so I'll have to keep watching this. Have a few of the listed games but not planning on jumping on the new system bandwagons immediately so will carve out the backlog for a while.

Ditto this for PS Plus and Valkyria. Plus is awesome, you get a new game each week for a year for just $50. You can't beat it.
