didn't see a regular thread for this, so.....

Game Informer is having a big piece on this in their next issue.

IGN has gotten some of the details.  I haven't gotten notice of the digital copy being available yet, but they say it is due out later today.

Yeah, really looking forward to this. I loved the infamous games.

Saw the IGN article. I'm okay with them choosing one canon ending from Infamous 2 to continue from, it's just too difficult if they didn't go that route.

Another interesting note was that Delsin, the protagonist in this one, has to absorb smoke to charge up, just like Cole had to absorb electricity. But since there are fewer sources of smoke in the city, it's harder to charge up naturally from the environment. I suspect there will be a lot of play where you set stuff on fire to get more smoke.

Hopefully the power set will allow Delsin to be a bit stealthier than Cole was. I think that Festival of Blood DLC for Infamous 2 could have been a practice run for some of Delsin's powers.

Oh and really, really excited to see what they can do with an open world game on this new hardware spec. Sure PCs have had this same spec for years, but no one has ever gotten to use it all by default. Really hoping the city if big and really alive this time, and that they don't just use the extra processing and memory prettier graphics.

Interesting that they chose a real city this time.  Love seeing Seattle in game form, especially here.

Sony now has my attention for PS4.

The second game was set in a recognizable-esque city, but was not that city itself.  I haven't read the article, is it actually Seattle or just a very Seattle-like city?

It's Seattle, but the developers said they're trying to recreate the "feel" of the city rather than its exact layout.
