I think I finished the first one, but I don't remember much about it.

I just remember the multiplayer was fairly disappointing after Frontlines.

I remember it was really short!

It was so "Edgy!" and "Thought-provoking" with an "Emotion-fueled single player campaign" where you "feel the horrors of war on your own front lawn".  aka, watch a child cry while his parents are shot, hide in a massive grave and come home from a mission to find your new friends dead.  Then wrap it up with a Bay-esque assault on a major San Francisco landmark with explosions and patriotic music.  All they were missing to make this the ultimate cliche-filled game would be a first person death sequence.

If Crytek gets to make the game like the rest they have made, I expect a decent SP game set to a Hans Zimmer soundtrack.

Homefront multiplayer was one of the best multiplayer games I ever played... that didn't work at all.  The rare times I was able to stay in a lag free match it was quite amazing.

The trailer looks pretty good (if extra shiny), but I just hope they have more gameplay in store than the overly linear first game.

Um, what the F was that?

What was all that future tech flying around? It looked and sounded more like the Helghast had invaded America than the North Koreans.

That said, if they can make the game a bit more like the old Freedom Fighters game instead of the mess that was the original, I'm all for it.

Nailed it with the Killzone comment.  Their soldiers even had enhanced voices too.  It's a cheap tactic to make the enemy less human.  You might as well be fighting the Combine and call this Half Life 3.

I don't mind the slightly futuristic tech as if the US was devoid of it due to the scenario that let NK invade in the first place, they would have the edge on us.

I really wish they would do one in the style of Freedom Fighters, but on a larger scale.  I loved having an effect on the enemy forces by taking out the various sites.  Give me a mix of FF and RF:G or Saboteur and I'd be overjoyed.  Instead, I fully expect this to be reminiscent of Crysis 2 without the nano suit.

I missed the start of it, but the early gameplay video shows an open world mechanic with lots of cool little details.

4-player co-op.  This is hitting all the right notes for me.

Lots of bad rumors (or rumours) surrounding this one.  Supposedly people haven't been paid in quite a while and last week many people just quit coming to work because of it.  Now rumors say that the game director has resigned from Crytek UK as well.

And this is all coming after the impressions from E3 that left most people thinking it felt just like another Crysis game without the fun suit powers.

I've got a bad feeling about this...

that is really bad news.  I actually am looking forward to this based on the demo they showed us.

more than this, I really want Crytek to continue making games and engines.  they have a good enough rep in my book.

Aside from the first Crysis and Far Cry they haven't been very successful. I did enjoy Crysis 3, though.

I've heard that Warface is doing great in Russia, but it's not doing well anywhere else.

I liked Crysis 2 even though it was hindered by console development.  The suit abilities were a lot of fun.  The levels just needed to be larger.
