At QuakeCon today a new Rise of the Triad game was announced with this reveal trailer.  Looks like it could be some old-school shooter mania with lots of fake Nazis that need killing.

It is supposed to release later this year on Steam.  More info at the official site.

From what I saw on RPS about this Appogee:

Quote
Some 3DR bigwigs, including Broussard and Miller, are involved in the new company (actually formed in 2008, and has previously published some mobile Duke ports/spin-offs) but apparently don’t have an active management role.

But the game is being developed by Interceptor Entertainment, and it looks like this might be their first release?

if ol georgie B is involved, expect this to launch in time for the next apocalypse in 2025.

I never liked the original. It felt uninspired and dull, like they had no idea what they were going to make so they just tossed in a few extra rocket launchers and called it a day.

This one doesn't look much different. The trailer showed me nothing to make me excited about the game.
