If you have any inclination toward local multiplayer, trippy aesthetics, or you're looking for a fighting game that does something different, I urge you to try Nidhogg. It's a bloody brilliant ballet of pixelated death, and it's only held back by its lack of content.

I'd love to get this, but I know it will end up being another game I play once at work with other people around and then not touch again.

Yeah, I totally get that. The thing is, this game makes me want to get a bunch of people together and just drink and have Nidhogg tournaments. I want this to blow up like Dota 2. Nidhogg needs to be the new eSport. It won't, but I think it deserves that distinction. It feels really, really good to play.

The reviews have been very good for this, so I put it on my wishlist, but I just know I'll play it once and never go back to it, too.

I'd play it for a bit.  It's nice nostalgia...
